Friends are mourning following a report that a Nigerian businessman has died while in Dubai police custody. Prince Obieze Nestor, the C.E.O of Obieze oil & gas and Obieze motors Nig Limited, was reportedly arrested by Dubai police after he posted a video to Instagram flaunting wads of Dollars. The businessman known to post regularly on Facebook and Instagram, flaunting his wealth, posted for the last time on Jan 8. Friends left comments, asking why he hasn't been posting for a while. It later emerged that he was arrested on the 12th of January, 2021.     After his arrest, he was detained and denied access to his lawyer and girlfriend.     He is believed to have died during interrogation and his body has been deposited in the mortuary.     Friends took to Instagram and Facebook to express shock following news of his passing.   

A doctor in Italy has been arrested over claims he killed two coronavirus patients to ‘free up beds’ during the height of the pandemic in Italy.  Carlo Mosca, 47, is accused of giving patients Natale Bassi, 61, and Angelo Paletti, 80, lethal doses of anaesthetics at Montichiari Hospital near Brescia.  The incident allegedly took place in March last year, when shocking pictures showed Covid-19 patients lining in hospital corridors.  Police are also investigating another three deaths after reports Mosca altered the medical records of patients who died and he has now been put under house arrest at his home in Mantua, according to Metro UK.   A Nigerian national has been arrested for residing in India with an expired visa, police said on Tuesday, January 26.  The accused identified as Aluko Ulva Tobi Jones from Ekiti state, was arrested at Sarojini Nagar area of Lucknow based on a tip-off.  The Lucknow Police Commissionerate, in a statement, said that the expired visa, a passport, Aadhaar card, marriage certificate, bank passbook, and no-objection marriage certificate were recovered from the accused. The accused was residing in Kanpur, the police said.  A case has been registered against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigners Act at Sarojini Nagar police station.

South Korean actress and model, Song Yoo-Jung has died mysteriously at the age of 26. Her death was announced by her talent agency, Sublime Artist Agency on Instagram on Monday night Jan 25th with no cause of death given. She was found dead in Seoul on Saturday amid high rate of suicides by young entertainers in the country. The actress' agency confirmed a private funeral ceremony already took place, with a funeral procession to follow. 'Song Yu Jung was a friend of ours who always gave us joy with her bright smile, and she was a wonderful actress who acted with passion,' the statement read.  Song was best known for her roles in TV shows including  Make a Wish  from 2014-2015 and  School   2017  in 2017. Chelsea  legend, Frank Lampard has released his first statement since he was unceremoniously sacked by the club on Monday, January 25. Lampard was axed by Chelsea on Monday, 18 months after being appointed following the club’s decision to sack Italian, Maurizio Sarri. Despite his status as the club’s greatest goalscorer, Lampard was axed with the Blues sitting ninth in the Premier League. Abramovich issued a rare statement upon Lampard’s exit, saying he has “an excellent personal relationship” with his former manager and said he “will always be warmly welcomed back at Stamford Bridge.” Lampard took to Instagram on Monday night to break his silence. “It has been a huge privilege and an honour to manage Chelsea, a club that has been a huge part of my life for so long,” Lampard wrote.  “Firstly, I would like to thank the fans for the incredible support that I have received for the last 18 months. One of the houses of Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho has been burnt down by suspected arsonists. The house was razed in the early hours of today, January 26.  Igboho has been in the news for calling for the eviction of Fulani herdsmen in Yorubaland. He argues that the herdsmen have carried out so many nefarious activities in Yorubaland and need to leave if they fail to desist. More photos  below  

Former US President Donald Trump on Monday established an official post-presidency office in Palm Beach County in Florida.  "The Office of the Former President" will manage Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearance, and official activities, according to a press release from the office. "Today, the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump formally opened the Office of the Former President," the statement said.   It added, "The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearances and official activities to advance the interests of the US and to carry the agenda of the Trump administration."   "President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American people," it further said.
