    U.S. President Donald Trump may be foot-dragging over the transfer of power to President elect, Joe Biden, but Twitter Inc is making arrangement for seamless transition at the White House. The social media platform said on Saturday it will transfer control of the @POTUS account to the Joe Biden administration on Jan. 20. The @POTUS account is the official account of the President of the United States and is separate from the @realDonaldTrump account that President Donald Trump uses to tweet. “Twitter is actively preparing to support the transition of White House institutional Twitter accounts on January 20th, 2021. As we did for the presidential transition in 2017, this process is being done in close consultation with the National Archives and Records,” the company confirmed to Reuters on Saturday.   Former governor of Imo State and member representing Imo West Senatorial District, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has told Governor Hope Uzodimma to stop destroying the assets of the people of the state in a bid to get at him.  Okorocha who insisted that the assets he left belongs to people of Imo state, expressed regret that most of the "people-oriented signature projects" constructed by his administration had been lying waste and abandoned by his successor.   He said;    “It’s been one drama or the other since I left office as the governor of Imo State.   Troops of the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven have arrested 27 suspected cultists in Plateau State. The suspects were arrested during series of raids conducted on criminals hideouts and dens in Jos metropolis between 17 to 20 November.    Commander of the task force, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, who paraded the suspects at its headquarters in Jos on Saturday, November 21, said the cultists including six females were arrested when troops raided Peoples and Tripple Hotels in Apata area, Westside, Rukuba road, Jenta Adamu and Jenta Miango area of Jos.      Major Okonkwo said that a number of drug barons were also arrested during the operation and handed over to the state Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further action.     The Commander reassured all law abiding citizens in the state of the troops' total commitment to having a crime-free environment esp...

This comes after his net worth increased by more than $15 billion in extended trading following S&P Dow Jones Indices' announcement that Musk's electric carmaker company will join 500 index of leading US companies in December. Tesla, whose stock closed at $408.09, surged about 14% at 6:20 p.m. in New York, lifting Musk’s net worth to $117.5 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. His wealth has jumped $90 billion this year, the biggest gain on the ranking of the world’s 500 richest people.   The Kano State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper, who allegedly killed an 8-year-old girl after collecting N500,000 ransom from her family.  Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, November 17, said the 24-year old suspect, Habibu Sale kidnapped Asiya Tasiu in Chikawa village, Gabasawa Local Government Area of the state on June 6, 2020, when she was sent on an errand in her Aunty’s place who happened to be his neighbour.  It was gathered that after the suspect kidnapped the girl, he demanded the sum of N10 million as ransom from her family but it was later reduced to N500,000 after negotiation. According to DSP Haruna, the police succeeded in arresting Sale on November 7, after trailing him from Jigawa, Katsina, Kaduna, Abuja, Abia and Kano where he was eventually arrested in front of his house.
