  Diego Maradona has been released from the hospital eight days after being admitted for emergency brain surgery. The Argentinian footballer legend, 60,  was hospitalised last week and had to have an emergency operation to remove a blood clot from his brain.       On Wednesday, November 11, Maradona was driven away from the private Olivos Clinic just before 6pm as hundreds of fans of photographers tried to get a glimpse of him. His physician, Leopoldo Luque told reporters the 60-year-old coach of Gimnasia y Esgrima finally left hospital in an ambulance accompanied by family members.     It was also confirmed that Maradona was taken to a rehabilitation facility in the north of Buenos Aires, where he will spend time there recovering from his alcohol problems.   "We always need to look after Maradona and particularly right now," Leopoldo Luque said.  

  American rapper, Tyga has been sued by his landlord for unpaid rent and trashing the pad which is located in Los Angeles.  TMZ reported that the landlord who alleged that the rapper stiffed them on $32K in rent when he left the place back in April, also accused Tyga of leaving gouges in the kitchen's white oak flooring ($27,650), damaging marble flooring and counters ($15,575) and damaging walls with murals and wallpaper ($103,160.25). He was also accused of installing a basketball hoop that damaged the driveway, and new locks that destroyed the entry door without permission.  Recounting how he tried to settle the issue through mediation in May, the landlord said he is now suing for breach of contract and wants more than $200K in damages after Tyga refused to play ball. This is coming after Tyga was also sued in 2018 for failing to pay rent at a Beverly Hills pad.

  Crystal Palace captain, Luka Milivojevic will miss Serbia's Euro 2020 play-off against Scotland on Thursday night after testing positive for coronavirus. The 29-year-old midfielder recorded a positive test on Monday November 9, and also tested positive for Covid-19 in a second test the following day and is now self-isolating as a result. 'After regular testing on Covid-19, performed on Monday upon the arrival of representative team players to the Sports Centre of the Serbian FA in Stara Pazova the result for captain of Crystal Palace Milivojevic came up positive,' a Serbian FA statement read on Thursday.   A 28-year-old Nigerian national has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly duping a man of over Rs 5 lakh (US$6,908.64) through Facebook. The accused, Onuorah Donatus Jideoffor was arrested at Mohan Garden on Wednesday, November 11, in a joint action by Goa Crime Branch and Delhi Police. It was gathered that he duped the victim on the pretext of paying Customs charges for a "gift" he was getting for the victim. The accused had befriended the victim on Facebook using a fictitious name Steve Jose and promised to send him an expensive gift from abroad. Thereafter the victim was asked to deposit Rs 5.16 lakhs in fictitious accounts used by fraudsters.  A complaint regarding this was lodged on November 6, following which an investigation was carried out by a Delhi Police Crime Branch team, led by Inspector Filomena Costa and Sub-inspector Nitin Halankar.

  A staff of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) Morris Nonyia, has been electrocuted in Onitsha, Anambra State. The incident happened at Ojedi street by Mbah junction, Inland town on Monday, November 9, when the deceased was allegedly carrying out an illegal operation. Mr Nonyi, a native of Inyi in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State and an Operation Technician at EEDC office, GRA, Onitsha, was said to have recently gained promotion after weeklong training in Enugu.     It was gathered that the deceased was working at power installations in the area when power supply was suddenly restored, leading to his electrocution. He was rushed to hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor. His remains was deposited at the Onitsha General hospital mortuary. Confirming the incident on Thursday, November 12, Head of Communications, EEDC, Emeka Ezeh, disclosed that the operation the deceased was carrying out was illegal. ...

    Hollywood actor, Jason Momoa, famed for his role in Game of Thrones, Justice League and Aquaman, has revealed that he was completely in debt after his role in HBO’s hit series, Game of Thrones.  “I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones. I couldn’t get work. It is very challenging when you have babies and you are completely in debt,” the actor revealed in an interview with Instyle.com. Momoa is married to actress Lisa Bonet and they are the parents of two children together. He is also step-dad to actress Zoe Kravitz, Bonet’s daughter with ex-husband, rocker Lenny Kravitz.     Operatives of the Lagos Police Command have arrested 29-year-old, Segun Titilayo, for allegedly killing and burying his lover. The deceased, Oritoke Manni, 26, who was a bar attendant at KC Hotel, Apakin Town, Lekki, was declared missing last month after she was said to have gone to Titilayo’s house. The Nation gathered that Titilayo allegedly called Manni to come to his 29, Otulu Town, Lekki residence but never returned. Following her disappearance, a missing person report was made at the police and a search commenced with no trace of her until November 7 when her decomposing body was excavated by a Caterpillar at Adron Homes construction site in Otulu. In the course of the investigation, it was learnt that police found out Titilayo went to the deceased’s place of work to ask after her, a move being considered as a possible cover-up for the alleged crime.
