  Germany has announced second national lockdowns to curb coronavirus spread.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said her nation will enter a four-week lockdown from 2 November. Germany's restrictions will see: Bars and pubs to shut Restaurants to close except for takeaway Gyms, cinemas and theatres to shut Indoor gatherings banned for more than 10 people and between more than two households Hotels to close to tourists - staying open only for "essential reasons" Shops to stay open but with a maximum of one person per 10 square metres   Ms. Merkel said schools, nurseries, and day care centres will stay open. She also revealed that she "wants to make sure" nursing homes can still have visitors during the lockdown. The German Chancellor explained that the "tough measures" were necessary to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed as Germany faces soaring coronavirus deaths and cases.     French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a second national lockdown for at least until the end of November. Mr Macron said that under the new measures, starting on Friday, people would only be allowed to leave home for essential work or medical reasons. Non-essential businesses, such as restaurants and bars, will close but schools and factories will remain open. Covid daily deaths in France are at the highest level since April. On Tuesday, 33,000 new cases were confirmed. Mr Macron said the country risked being "overwhelmed by a second wave that no doubt will be harder than the first".

    The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim says anyone caught unlawfully with NYSC uniforms will face a three-year jail term. Ibrahim said this after hoodlums invaded the NYSC orientation camp in Kubwa, Abuja. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that hoodlums on Tuesday carted away mattresses, food items and other materials meant for corps members. He said that the youth claimed to be searching for palliatives. “We don’t have palliatives in the camps, we are preparing for our orientation. “Imagine, the youth went away with our uniforms. I want to appeal to Nigerian youth not to attack our camps, we don’t have palliatives there. “It is illegal for you to use NYSC uniform and if you are caught, you will go to jail for three years,’’ Ibrahim said. The reality star, 36, announced she had contracted the virus in a recently released clip from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. While isolating in her Los Angeles home, the mum-of-one confirmed she was suffering from Covid in the clip, recording footage of herself as she opened up about her experience of the deadly virus. She said: "Just found out that I do have corona. I have been in my room. It's gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days."     A Texas father has been arrested for murdering his wife after shooting her then posting a chilling video on YouTube where he apologized to his children for what he had done. Trent Paschal, 48, has been charged with murdering his wife Savannah, 30, in Houston. The man, who most recently worked for a trucking company in Texas, is believed to have shot her after she arrived back in their home then fled the scene.  Before police caught up with him, he recorded a 4 minute video where he apologized to his children for what he'd done but also bemoaned that his hair was a 'mess' and asked: 'Why me?'   A one day old baby has tragically lost his life after he was mauled by a family Rottweiler dog. According to a Tuesday report by Australian website, News.com.au., the unnamed child from Hamilton city in New Zealand, was pronounced dead on Sunday October 25, hours after being rushed to a hospital in critical condition. “This is a traumatic time for all involved and our thoughts are with the families and individuals involved,” stated Hamilton City Council animal control manager Susan Stanford. The Rottweiler attacked the baby boy, just a day after he was born. “Police are continuing to make enquiries, and are liaising with relevant agencies,” said a police spokesman.   Cristiano Ronaldo has labelled Polymerase Chain Reaction testing as 'bulls***' after testing positive for Coronavirus for the third time, which ruled him out of Juventus' Champions League clash with Barcelona.  The Portuguese striker, 35, has been self-isolating since he tested positive while on international duty with Portugal on October 13. He returned another positive result last week, and was made to take another test ahead of Juventus' clash against Barcelona on Wednesday October 28. According to Sky Italy, Ronaldo failed to test negative 24 hours ahead of kick-off, as required by UEFA in order to play.  Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday, Ronaldo revealed that he was 'feeling good and healthy' as he shared a new photo of himself.
