Eddie Van Halen, the legendary Dutch-American guitarist and co-founder of Van Halen, has died at the age of 65 after a long battle with throat cancer.  His death was announced by his son, Wolf Van Halen, on Tuesday October 5 via Twitter. “I can’t believe I’m having to write this but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning,” Wolfgang Van Halen said in the tweet. “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. “My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss.” Wolfgang, who became Van Halen’s bassist, added: “I love you so much, Pop.”   Van Halen, born in 1955 in Amsterdam and raised in California, formed the rock band along with brother Alex, bassist Michael Anthony and singer David Lee Roth in 1974. A  24-year-old woman was struck dead by lightning two weeks after her wedding in Namukanaga village, Namungalwe sub-county Iganga district, Uganda.  The deceased, Kamuya Nabirye, died on spot after being hit by lightning as she sat on a bench inside her house, while carrying her three-month-old daughter during a heavy downpour on Monday, October 5. Speaking to New Vision Uganda on Tuesday October 6, the deceased's husband, Awali Nabatya, who was sharing a bench with his wife at the time, said all he saw was a bright light strike through the window in the sitting room, followed by a loud bang.     Nabatya said he later saw his wife drop their three months old daughter before falling down on the floor. "I realized that there could be trouble and I ran to my neighbors alerting them about what had happened," he narrated.   Two Nigerian nationals and a local woman have been arrested in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for alleged involvement in online scamming. General Lieutenant Neth Savoeun, the director of National Police, who confirmed this on Monday, October 5, said the arrest was carried out by officials from the Anti-cybercrime department led by lieutenant Chea Pove, and coordinated by the Phnom Penh court prosecutor, on October 1.   The suspects were identified as Makcava Femi Wisdom, 28, Spark Onwa, 33, and a 33-year-old Cambodian woman, Thon Sarem. The suspects were brought to the Department of Technology Crimes for processing and later sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for legal action following a complaint.     

  Cardi B took to Instagram to share a photo of herself while reminding the world she's now single. However, the nature of the photo led to speculations she has been initiated into the Illuminati. In the photo, the rapper is seen wearing a red latex jumpsuit with a red hairband in the form of horns. "Single, bad and rich. I do the controlling," she captioned the photo.     People commented, claiming she was indirectly announcing her entry into the Illuminati. She reacted by sharing another photo of herself in an angel costume, with diamonds covering her private parts and white wings sticking out behind her.   "Stop with the Illuminati shit ....It was just costumes for a tiktok video DAMN!" she captioned the photo.   A 3-year-old boy was found dead alongside his mother and father at their West London home after a "murder-suicide". Scotland Yard today, October 6, said they forced entry into the fourth-floor flat on Clayponds Lane in Brentford shorty before 1am this morning. Officers found Kuha Raj Sithamparanathan, 42, suffering with stab wounds as well as the bodies of his wife Poorna Kaameshwari Sivaraj, 36, and their three-year-old son Kailash Kuha Raj.       Kuha, 42, was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene.      Detective Chief Inspector Simon Harding, from the Met's specialist crime command, said: "Although we are in the infancy of this investigation, it appears that Poorna and Kailash had been dead for some time.   "This is a murder investigation and my team will work diligently to establish the sequence of events that led to their murders and the death of Kuha Raj Sithamparanathan.   "Our...

  A Zimbabwean soldier identified as Tendai Saunyama Kandima has bagged a 12 year jail sentence after bragging about being the mastermind behind the White City bombing in Bulawayo in 2018.  The White City bombing which is also called the Bulawayo bombing occurred on June 23, 2018, a few weeks before July 2018 harmonized elections in Zimbabwe. The bomb went off when President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputies, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and Vice President Kembo Mohadi were leaving a Zanu PF rally at White City Stadium.   3 people died during the attack and at least 40 other people were injured.   Kandima however made the claims of masterminding the bombing in a bid to impress his girlfriend via a Whatsapp chat. The chat eventually found its way to the military leading to his arrest and detention at  2  Infantry Brigade at Kaguvi Barracks in Harare.    Though it was established that Kandima was in India ...

  The trial of Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright released on September 23, revealed that the jury trial will continue by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021. Hushpuppi had pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity. If convicted, the Instagram big boy might spend the next 20 years in the U.S federal prison.
