  A Zimbabwean soldier identified as Tendai Saunyama Kandima has bagged a 12 year jail sentence after bragging about being the mastermind behind the White City bombing in Bulawayo in 2018.  The White City bombing which is also called the Bulawayo bombing occurred on June 23, 2018, a few weeks before July 2018 harmonized elections in Zimbabwe. The bomb went off when President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputies, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and Vice President Kembo Mohadi were leaving a Zanu PF rally at White City Stadium.   3 people died during the attack and at least 40 other people were injured.   Kandima however made the claims of masterminding the bombing in a bid to impress his girlfriend via a Whatsapp chat. The chat eventually found its way to the military leading to his arrest and detention at  2  Infantry Brigade at Kaguvi Barracks in Harare.    Though it was established that Kandima was in India ...

  The trial of Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright released on September 23, revealed that the jury trial will continue by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021. Hushpuppi had pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity. If convicted, the Instagram big boy might spend the next 20 years in the U.S federal prison.

  Davido has terminated the contract of one of the acts signed under his DMW record label, Sanni Goriola Wasiu aka Lil Frosh.   Recall that on Monday, October 5, TV presenter Mayoks Michael, went on IG to accuse Lil Frosh of physically assaulting his girlfriend. Michael shared photos of Gifts' bruised body as well as threatening chat messages Lil Frosh sends to her after every act of physical abuse. In a statement released this afternoon October 6, Davido said his label has conducted its investigation and is left with no option than to immediately terminate Lil Frosh's contract.   A six-year-old has died in hospital ten days after she was allegedly raped by her cousin in India.  The girl was sexually assaulted while she was at home in India's northern Uttar Pradesh state. She was being treated at a hospital in Delhi but succumbed to her injuries today, October 6. Her death has sparked furious protests in India which saw her distraught family lay the girl's body in the street in Sadabad region to demand the arrest the police personnel over his handling of the case.      According to Times of India, police arrested the accused, Radharaman Pandey, 30, on the same day of the attack.  The website reports that the girl was left at home to look after her siblings while her parents worked. While her siblings were outside, Pandey allegedly assaulted the girl inside her home.   The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, has taking to twitter, to urge popular singer, Naira Marley not to embark on a peaceful protest alongside other Nigerian youths. Dare said the grievances faced by Nigerians are being addressed, hence no need for the protest. Naira Marley had called for a peaceful protest over the illegality of some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. The singer had vowed to lead the protest against injustice meted out on Nigerians today. The Minister's tweets appealing to him reads; In a tweet, the minister wrote: “I urge you and other youth not to embark upon any protest. Your grievances are being addressed at the highest level of government. “As the Minister in charge of youth I know this is an issue that must be tackled.   The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the appointment of Randy Waldrum as the new Head Coach for the senior women’s national team, Super Falcons. In a statement issued, the NFF stated Mr Waldrum will work with former Super Falcons’ goalkeeper and Captain Ann Chiejine, who is the first Assistant Coach, while Wemimo Mathew Olanrewaju will serve as the second Assistant Coach and Auwar Bashir Makwalla will be goalkeepers’ trainer.

  Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has revealed his plans to contest for the Presidential election. The actor made this known in a tweet via his Twitter account on Tuesday while replying to a fan who said that the country needed young and vibrant leaders like him.
