  Actor, Uti Nwachukwu, has apologized and deleted his unflattering tweet about BBNaija lockdown housemate, Laycon.   Uti posted the unflattering tweet while analyzing the love triangle between the housemates Laycon, Erica and Kiddwaya.   Following the backlash he received, Uti took to Twitter to apologize and also deleted the tweet. His apology reads OK I got a little carried away watching #Bbnaija guys, what I said really wasn’t cool  and I acknowledge it so its deleted. Just a little reminder to all of us to remember that even though it’s a show, they’re real people. So make una no vesss #BBNaijialockdown2020

  First Lady Aisha Buhari has returned to Nigeria from her medical trip to Dubai weeks ago.  Aisha Buhari called for better health care in the country as she disclosed that she is well now and fully recovered from her ailment.   The First Lady who revealed that they experienced a violent clear air turbulence during the flight back to the country, commended the courage and professionalism of the captain and crew of the Nigerian Airforce Flight.    She tweeted;    I want to use this opportunity to thank all Nigerians for their prayers and well wishes while I was away for medical treatment . I am well now and fully recovered and have since returned back home, Nigeria.   An Anglican Priest and his son were kidnapped on Saturday, August 22, in Kaduna State. Reverend Meshach Luka and his 10-year-old son were reportedly abducted at midnight, the Hausa Christian Foundation, HACFO, revealed. Hausa Christians have called for prayers for the release of the Reverend and his son. They also called for prayers to an end to the senseless killings and kidnappings in southern Kaduna.  

  Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has opened up on her Coronavirus experience while reacting to a debate on how Nollywood can adhere strictly to the health guidelines of COVID-19 before reopening productions on the popular filmmakers’ WhatsApp group, Filmic.  Vanguard reported that the veteran actress said she was treated by some infectious decease doctors who told her that many people are infected with the virus because there’s no widespread testing.  Omotola further revealed that when most people feel unwell, they attribute it to malaria, diarrhea among other ailments.   Recalling how she contracted the disease on a movie set, the actress said;    “I hardly fall ill and so when I left the set and started having chills the next day or so, I knew something wasn’t right.   Megan Thee Stallion has finally confirmed rumours that it was Tory Lanez who shot her in the foot twice.   Kanye West has been taken off the ballot in three more US states following rulings issued by election officials on Friday August 21.  Election officials in Ohio, Illinois and West Virginia held that the rapper who is running as an independent on what he calls the Birthday Party ticket, didn’t qualify to appear on their state ballots barely a day after officials in Wisconsin and Montana also took him off their ballot.  In Ohio, he was disqualified because information and a signature on a nominating petition and statement of candidacy for the rapper and running mate Michelle Tidball didn’t match the paperwork used to gather needed voter signatures, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose said in a release. In Illinois his home state, the State Board of Elections voted 8-0 on Friday that he’s ineligible for the ballot there because he lacked the 2,500 valid signatures needed, spokesman Matt Dietrich said.   Two women have died after a container fell from a truck and landed on a commercial bus at Odo Olowu area, Ijesha bus-stop in Lagos on Friday, August 21. Confirming the incident, the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the agency received a distress call at about 9pm that an empty 40-feet container has killed two persons in an accident. It was learned that the truck loaded with an empty 40-feet container, suffered brake failure, rammed into the stationary commercial bus, and subsequently fell down.   The two adult females died on the spot and their remains were deposited in the morgue.   This incident comes barely a month after two workers of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria FAAN, were crushed to death in similar circumstances in Ojota, Lagos state.
