Nigeria is a land of opportunity. And I do not mean this the way Nigerian politicians usually mean it, as a cliched speech for the campaign trail. I mean this from the bottom of my heart because it is true and I have benefited from it and I can prove it.   Nigeria ought to change her educational model. Our educational system is still by and large a colonial model where the occupying colonial power merely trained a select few natives for the purpose of having clerks and translators to run their exploitative government. It was never designed to transfer knowledge that prepares the recipient to add value to Nigeria. Quite on the contrary, it was designed and still remains designed to train Nigerians to take value from Nigeria and give it to the West. This is one of the reasons why we have more Nigerian medical professionals practicing in the West and Saudi Arabia than we have in Nigeria.

Aftermath of Chelsea' EPL victory, a die-hard fan in Abakaliki has named his newly-delivered baby-boy Antonio Moses. On Friday night Chelsea defeated West Bromwich Albion 1-0 to win the league title with two matches to play. The fan, Mathew Irondu, a Construction Engineer this morning said that he named the boy, born last Thursday after the club’s Coach Antonio Conte and Nigerian star, Victor Moses as his own way of celebrating the win.  

  33-year-old Pamela Stigger, an actress and a drama school teacher at Forest Glen Middle School in Coral Springs, was arrested and arraigned in court on charges of sexual battery and lewd behavior with a 15-year-old former student. According to the Police, at two o’clock in the morning, Stigger was discovered with the teenage boy in the back seat of her car.
