  Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says his team can win the Champions League this season insisting favourites do not always triumph in Europe’s top competition.   A 30-year-old Lagos driver, Samuel Adamo, Adamo, who was married with three wives and five children, was stabbed to death in Oshodi, Lagos State. He was said to have been attacked in one of the motor parks in the Oshodi-under-bridge area, while calling passengers into his bus. It was learnt that some motor park thugs aka agbero, had approached him for a ‘loading fee’, but the deceased allegedly declined payment, saying there was no passenger in his bus yet. This supposedly caused an argument, which led to a fight between the victim and the thugs. Three of the area boys allegedly stabbed Adamo in the neck, chest and stomach and he reportedly bled to death. It was gathered that the police arrested one of the suspects, 21 year old Teslim Tajudeen.

  Nollywood actor, Prince Eke, who also happens to be Muma Gee’s husband has said Igbos should stop blaming anyone for where they have found themselves in this new government and take all the faults instead.   A Chinese woman aka ‘Tiger Mom’ had a six-month prison term upheld by a local court, which ruled that she had gone “too far” for flogging her foster son over unfinished homework. Legal experts say the case has shed light on the controversial practice of physical punishment in Chinese families to encourage young children to excel. The case broke in April after widely shared pictures on the Internet showed a boy, known only by his surname Shi, with raw red welts criss-crossing his back.
