  Carrot Top’s legal team has accused Brian Evans of attempting to extort $500,000 from the comedian by threatening to place a sexually explicit recording involving him on a public court docket. According to a September 3 court filing obtained by TMZ, lawyers for the 61-year-old comedian, whose real name is Scott Thompson, alleged that Evans threatened to submit a USB drive containing the recording unless a $500,000 settlement was reached. Evans has disputed the characterization of his communications as a threat. In an email included as an exhibit in the filing, Evans wrote: “Given the existing posture of the case and the coverage already in print, I expect the press will report the motion and will use its own imagination about what the USB is...   Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of Nigeria’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau due to injury. Osimhen sustained a muscle strain during Galatasaray’s 3-2 away victory over Istanbul Başakşehir on September 4 and has not featured for the Turkish club since then. Despite the injury, the 27-year-old was initially included in Nigeria’s squad for the two qualifiers by head coach Éric Chelle, who had hoped the striker would recover in time to feature.   US President Donald Trump has granted a full pardon to the Professional Golfers' Association Tour caddie, Eric Larson over a decades-old federal drug conviction that had prevented him from travelling to the United Kingdom for major golf tournaments.    Larson, who works as a caddie for American golfer Harris English, was pardoned on September 3 over his 1995 conviction for conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced to 156 months in prison, five years of supervised release and a $25,000 fine. Larson ultimately served about 11 years behind bars. His criminal record later created difficulties travelling to the UK and prevented him from accompanying English at the 2025 British Open. English went on to finish second at the tournament, earning $1.8 million in prize money.
