  A former University of Kentucky cheerleader pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges for killing her newborn son, whose lifeless body was found stuffed in a trash bag.   An emotional Laken Snelling admitted to “ending” her baby’s life in a Kentucky courtroom Friday morning, after initially pleading not guilty to first-degree manslaughter in April.   Snelling, now 22, also pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and concealing the birth of an infant. “I was under a lot of emotional stress, and my baby came unexpectedly,” Snelling said while crying in court.   “And instead of helping him I ended his life, and afterwards I cleaned up and didn’t tell anyone.”   Asked by Judge Diane Minnifield how she ended his life, Snelling admitted, “I deprived him of oxygen.”   Lexington cops responded to an off-campus home Aug. 27, 2025, after her horrified college roommates discovered the dead baby boy wrapped in a towel in a black plastic bag...

  Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo kicked off his 25th professional season by scoring his 977th career goal after coming off the bench to help Al Nassr cruise to a 4-0 victory on Friday. Ronaldo was named among the substitutes by new boss Ange Postecoglou for their Saudi Pro League clash at Al Riyadh.   The 41-year-old Portugal star came on in the 62nd minute with his side already 3-0 up, thanks to goals from Abdulelah Al-Amri, Ângelo Gabriel and João Félix.   With just seven minutes left, Ronaldo converted Aiman Yahya’s low cross from eight yards to make it 4 - 0. The strike saw Ronaldo move closer to the 1,000 goal milestone and was his 130th goal for Al Nassr in all competitions since joining the club in December 2022.

  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's youngest child, Vivienne, has taken the next step toward dropping "Pitt" from her name.   According to Los Angeles County Superior Court documents, the 18-year-old now has proof of publication, confirming her intent to change her name   Vivienne is one of six children Pitt, 62, and Jolie, 51 share.   She published a legal notice in the Los Angeles Daily Journal that she intends to change her name from "Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt" to "Vivienne Marcheline Jolie," a required step in California law.  Vivienne's legal notice was published on July 24, July 31, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14, according to court documents.   The request has not yet been granted.  The next steps include a court hearing, set for Nov. 2, to further discuss Vivienne's petition.  Court documents regarding Vivienne's proof of publication noted that any person who objects to the name change "must file a written objection that includes the rea...

  Wendy Williams begged for her freedom as she was sighted for the first time in public since February amid an ongoing court-ordered guardianship case.   The TV personality was walking around New York City Wednesday, August 19, when she was asked by a paparazzi what she had to tell fans about “what she is going through.”    “I want out!” the 62-year-old said, as she entered a building accompanied by a male companion.     Williams, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023,  was placed under a conservatorship in May 2022 after Wells Fargo voiced their concerns for her in a letter to a New York Supreme Court judge, claiming that the talk show host was an “incapacitated person” and she needed a “temporary guardian” to ensure her “affairs are being properly handled.”   The media personality was placed in the guardianship that same month, with Sabrina E.
