  United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (Jul 8) that the memorandum of understanding signed with Iran to end the conflict was "over", adding he didn't want to engage with Tehran. The interim ceasefire agreement signed between Washington and Tehran - under the mediation of Pakistan - was intended to provide a 60-day window for negotiations on a permanent agreement, but indirect talks in Qatar ended last week with no sign of headway.   "To me, I think it's over. I don't want to deal with them," Trump said ahead of a NATO summit in the Turkish capital Ankara. "They're scum. They're sick people.   A volunteer coastguard allegedly staged the suicide of his live-in partner after killing her and creating the appearance of a road collision, a court has heard. Rowan Sutton is accused of running over 22-year-old Aimee Pike with his Land Rover on a dark country road before moving her body and attempting to make her death appear to be a suicide. The jury at Plymouth Crown Court was told that Sutton allegedly transported Aimee’s body to a main road, placed it on a low wall and waited for a passing van at around 4am to create the impression that she had jumped into traffic. Prosecutor James Dawes KC told the court that Sutton filmed the passing bakery van before placing Aimee’s body on the road. He allegedly recorded himself shouting at the van driver and staged a fake conversation with Aimee, saying “don’t do it, stay there” before shouting her name as the vehicle approached.   Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has confirmed there’s crisis in her marriage to husband, Bobby Maris, following days of intense public speculation and cryptic social media exchanges.   Taking to her Instagram Stories, the mother of three expressed profound exhaustion and questioned societal expectations placed heavily on women within traditional unions. The crisis first spilled into the public eye when the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted mutual photographs.   US President Donald Trump reserved special praise for rapper Nicki Minaj during a lunch at the White House Rose Garden patio, describing her as "so hot."   The 80-year-old president gave the 43-year-old “Anaconda” singer a shout-out during the White House event on Monday.   “We also have a woman that is so respected and so hot and so great and such a great friend of, I don’t say conservative, I say of common sense,” Trump said before going on a rant about Democratic Socialists and Communism.     Turning his focus back to Minaj, Trump added: “She’s a fantastic person, and she’s a woman that’s respected by everybody, and she’s got real talent, Nicki Minaj. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Sun and the Earth, casting a narrow shadow across the planet. During totality, daylight briefly turns into twilight, temperatures can fall, shadows appear unusual, and some animals behave as though night has arrived. According to NASA, the phenomenon is possible because of a unique cosmic alignment. Although the Sun is about 400 times larger than the Moon, it is also roughly 400 times farther away, making both appear nearly the same size from Earth. This allows the Moon to completely block the Sun, revealing its outer atmosphere, known as the corona.   Iran claims it has launched attacks on 85 US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait following fresh US strikes on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said the strikes were carried out to “impose heavy costs” on Iran for targeting commercial shipping vessels carrying civilian crews in an international waterway. The UK Maritime Trade Operations confirmed that multiple oil tankers were targeted during the latest incidents. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) described its latest military action as retaliation for what it called a violation of the ceasefire agreement by the United States.
