  The US military says it has “successfully defeated” a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks in the Gulf and carried out self-defense strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island.   US Central Command (CENTCOM) also dismissed claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that it had struck the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and other regional bases.   Diddy's former girlfriend Cassie Ventura has left the US permanently with her family after the Diddy trial.   The 'Me & U' singer, 39, has kept a low profile since she took to the stand during Diddy's dramatic trial last year.   It has been revealed that the mother-of-three no longer lives in the US, and that she has no intention of returning.   In a court declaration that is dated 1 May, 2026, the Connecticut-born songstress said, according to Complex: "I reside outside of the United States.   At least 21 people were killed after a major fire broke out at the Lemon Green Restaurant in Malviya Nagar area of Delhi, India.  The fire occurred at the multi-storey restaurant located in the Hauz Rani area of South Delhi.  The blaze started at around 8:50 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. According to reports, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received information about the incident at approximately 9:45 AM and immediately dispatched firefighting and rescue teams to the scene. In its initial statement, the Delhi Fire Service said 37 people were rescued from the basement of the building and shifted to hospitals through CATS ambulances. According to Delhi Police, 21 persons have been killed, and 37 were evacuated from the building and admitted to hospitals for treatment.  Out of the 21 deceased, majority of them were foreigners, the police said.   US President Donald Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he was “fucking crazy” and warned that “everybody hates Israel” after Iran suspended peace talks over Israel’s planned attacks on Beirut.   American officials cited in reports described the phone call as “expletive-laden”, saying Trump strongly confronted Netanyahu and warned that additional attacks on Lebanon could further isolate Israel internationally. Summarizing Trump’s remarks, one official quoted him as saying: “I’m saving your ass. Everybody hates you now.   Idris Elba was among a host of celebrities who received honours at Windsor Castle today.   On June 2, King Charles knighted the actor, activist and musician in an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.   Two men have been sentenced to over 24 years in total for their involvement in a crash which resulted in the d3ath of 50-year-old Nigerian man, Sylvester Abayomi, in the United Kingdom.    Uways Hussain and Usmon Mahmood, inhaled nitrous oxide while travelling at speeds of up to 139mph in a 30mph zone before the fatal collision on 9 March 2026.    Hussain, 20, and Mahmood, 23, filmed themselves inhaling the gas from a balloon, running red lights and weaving through traffic before hitting Abayomi, in Manchester as he was driving to work.   Manchester crown court was shown footage of the collision, which happened at the junction of Green End Road and Kingsway, at 4.30am.    Abayomi’s partner, Denise Doyle, told the court: “Sylvester was simply on his way to work.   A 28-year-old Long Island man died in his father’s arms as his shocked mother looked on following a hookup gone horribly wrong early Monday, June 1, officials said.   Kristen Sculley, 22, is facing second-degree murd£r charges in the fatal Massapequa stabbing. She allegedly snuck into the victim’s basement apartment in the middle of the night for a pre-arranged hookup before stabbing the victim to death in his own bed, police said.   As she was led to court by cops on Tuesday, June 2, Sculley is pictured smirking.     “We believe that this female individual made an arrangement,” Nassau County Police Detective Lt.   The Kaduna state police command has launched an investigation after bandits abducted nine farmers and attacked a mosque in separate incidents in Kaduna State, leaving one person dead and three others injured.   According to reports, the first incident saw six farmers getting abducted while working on their farms in Abashiya near Iburu Village, Kufana District of Kajuru Local Government Areaon Monday, June 1. A community leader said the attackers initially abducted nine persons but released three who sustained injuries during the operation.   Sean 'Diddy' Combs is facing new sexual battery charges in California.   The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Diddy, 56, is facing a new criminal probe, even as he tries to get his federal conviction overturned.   The accuser is publicist Jonathan Hay, who filed a police report last September in his hometown of Largo, Florida. Hay alleges that Diddy sexually battered him on two separate occasions in 2020 and again in 2021.   In the first incident, Hay claimed that Diddy masturbated into one of the Notorious B.I.G.’s shirts before telling the producer to “come finish him off” before ejaculating and throwing the shirt at him.
