  The United States has reversed a policy that suspended visa processing for foreign-trained doctors, allowing physicians from Nigeria and about 38 other countries to resume their applications.   According to a report by The New York Times, the earlier restriction introduced in January had halted decisions on visa extensions, work permits, and green cards for citizens of nearly 39 countries under the US travel ban system.   The freeze forced some doctors into administrative leave, while others faced possible job losses due to stalled approvals.   The US Citizenship and Immigration Services has now updated its guidelines to exempt medical doctors from the freeze, enabling their applications to move forward.   A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the development, stating that, “Applications associated with medical physicians will continue processing.”   The policy reversal comes amid a growing healthcare st...

  Nigerian music star Rudeboy has fired back at an X user who criticized his commitment to national development.   The confrontation began after the singer, currently on an international tour, shared photos of his recent performances. The critic sparked the exchange by calling the artist a "useless and empty millionaire," alleging that he ignores Nigeria’s struggles while focusing solely on earning foreign currency in developed nations.   See Rudeboy's blunt response below:    

  Serena Williams attended the pre-Met Gala party in NYC on Sunday evening, May 3, and she was criticised for her outfit.   The tennis star wore a red sequined dress with a high slit that exposed her underwear while she was exiting the car.  She also seemed uncomfortable as she walked, tugging at the slit to cover her sensitive parts.   A view of her back showed that the slit exposed a sizeable part of her bum and back.     Reactions to her red dress have been mostly negative ones.    

A Kentucky man will spend the rest of his life in prison after he brutally stabbed a mother and her 13-year-old daughter to d3ath.    Joshua Cottrell admitted to k!lling his girlfriend, 37-year-old Kayla Blake, as well as her daughter, Kennedi McWorter, in September 2025.    Blake and her daughter were found d3ad at their home in Morehead, Kentucky, during a welfare check.   Cottrell, who had been living with the victims at the time of the m8rders, was later found at a hospital in Paducah, still wearing blood‑stained clothing.    On April 28, 2026 in Rowan Circuit Court, Cottrell pleaded guilty to two counts of m8rder and tampering with physical evidence (for moving the victims’ bodies to alter the crime scene).   Judge Elizabeth Davis sentenced him to two life terms without the possibility of parole, plus five years for tampering with evidence.   Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC, has issued a 30-day ultimatum to the United States, demanding the removal of a naval blockade on its ports.   IRGC also warned that the US faces a choice between a difficult military escalation or an unfavourable agreement.   The development follows the submission of a 14-point proposal by the Iran government to the United States, outlining conditions that include guarantees of non-aggression, the lifting of restrictions on maritime routes, and an end to hostilities across multiple fronts, including Lebanon.   Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, said the proposal seeks a comprehensive and permanent resolution to the conflict rather than a temporary ceasefire.   He also called for the removal of the United States’ naval restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz and broader confidence-building measures between both countries.   Responding to the proposal, US President Donald Trump said it was und...
