  Britney Spears has admitted herself into rehab following her DUI arrest in March.   The singer is seeking treatment for substance abuse after reaching "rock bottom" following her arrest.   On March 5, Spears was detained by California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence of "a combination of drugs and alcohol ". At the time of her detention, an unidentified substance was discovered in her vehicle.   Her manager said: "This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully, this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life.   Australia has appointed a woman to lead its army for the first time in history, as part of a reshuffle of the country’s defence force leadership.   Lieutenant General Susan Coyle, the current chief of joint capabilities, will become chief of army in July, the government said in a statement.   Former NFL player Chris Payton-Jones d!ed in a Florida car accident at the age of 30.   Payton-Jones, who was driving a sedan, collided head-on with a pickup truck in Alachua County on Saturday night, April 11, according to News 4 Jacksonville. He was the only person k!lled in the crash. The truck’s three passengers suffered only minor injuries. His family confirmed his death.   Payton-Jones signed with the Lions, Titans, Vikings, and Raiders, playing in 29 games over six seasons in the league.   A math teacher in Florida has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a student after their fling was uncovered when her alleged victim lied to his parents.   Kirsten Rose, 37, was arrested Friday, April 10, five months after she started chatting with the boy out of class on Instagram, according to court docs seen by WPEC-TV. They continued chatting into the new year and allegedly had s£x in February and March, with the boy’s parents becoming alarmed when he returned home late from work one night.   They realized that his location was at an unfamiliar home, and when challenged, he replied he was with his “girlfriend,” without naming Rose.   A happily-married woman was left questioning her marriage after taking a DNA test to trace her ancestry.  Celina and Joseph Quinones are married and share three children. However,they were stunned by their genetic discoveries when the DNA test result came back.   Speaking on the Love Don't Judge podcast, Celina said: "I started really diving into my DNA because I wanted to find out my heritage – my daughter is really dark-skinned, and my son has curly hair my middle child is light-skinned, and everyone would ask 'what are you what are you?'   A couple has been accused of killing their 3-week-old infant, then staging his death to make it look like he died in his sleep. Crystal Garcia, 21, and Anfernee Watts, 25, were arrested on April 8, 2026 and charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child stemming from the August 2025 d3ath of their son.   According to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, investigators say Garcia and Watts "provided multiple false and inconsistent statements to law enforcement in an attempt to conceal the true circumstances surrounding the d3ath" of their child at their home in Hollywood, Florida.
