A Nigerian lady was rescued last night after she attempted to take her life by drinking bleach.    A Nigerian pharmacist who rescued the young lady said she attempted suicide because her boyfriend broke up with her.   ‘’Suicide attempt because your man broke up with you should never be an option!!!   Around 8:30pm last night, a lady who drank hypo to end her life because the boyfriend tried ending their relationship was rushed in. I had to force her mouth open to pour a slurry of activated charcoal before referring them to the hospital for further care.   Please suicide should never be an option''

Zoo workers were left horrified after watching a lion rip out the throat of the lioness he was intended to mate with. Nestor and Maya were supposed to mate when they were first introduced to each other as part of a Belgian theme park’s breeding program on Friday, March 15. They had first been separated by barriers to get used to each other’s scents at the zoo in Bellewaerde, Ypres.   Both animals had been moved from Antwerp Zoo to the site in West Flanders as part of a breeding program for endangered species.   Things seemed to be okay so staff decided to remove barriers between them, according to the zoo authorities but the situation quickly deteriorated as the lions started showing signs of aggression. A man and woman have been arrested after a newborn baby boy was found dead in a bin. The woman, believed to be the infant’s mum, is charged with failure to report a death over the shocking incident in South Florida, USA in January.  Her co-accused faces an identical charge along with the illegal disposal of a body.  The full-term baby boy, with umbilical cord still attached, was found on January 7 by a roofing company worker who had noticed a foul odour outside an apartment complex. He found the baby in a reusable shopping bag inside the trash bin, and notified police, according to a Hollywood police affidavit. Police used video surveillance to track down the owner of a car that stopped beside the trash bin, and later used text messages between the man and woman, along with DNA samples taken from the shopping bag, to track down the mother.   An autopsy found the baby had no signs of trauma or injury, according to the affidavit. An 11-year-old boy was killed in a domestic violence attack that critically wounded his pregnant mother while trying to protect her and his younger brother from her ex-boyfriend, who had been released from prison.      According to the Chicago Police Department, the “offender Crosetti Brand, 37, was arrested by members of the Chicago Police Department and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on March 13, 2024, at 12:20 p.m., in the 4400 block of S. Cottage Grove Ave.        He was hit with several charges, including murder, in connection to the fatal stabbing of the 11-year-old and the attempted murder of his mother, who survived the attack but was taken to the hospital in critical condition.     The victims were identified as Jayden Perkins and his mother, 33-year-old Laterria Smith, in a fundraiser launched by the community to help support the surviving family as they navigate through this “difficult time.”   Sp...

Police in Haiti have launched operations to regain control of the capital from feared 'Barbecue' gang leader.      Haiti cops conducted an operation in a neighborhood of the country's capital - Port-au-Prince - controlled by the notorious gang leader Jimmy Cherizier, that left several criminals dead, an official said today.
