Gunmen have abducted another traditional ruler in the Orodo Autonomous Community in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Samuel Ohiri. The heavily armed four-member gang stormed the residence of the former chairman of the Imo Council of Traditional Rulers in a green Toyota Highlander on Saturday, January 6, 2024, and whisked him away to an unknown destination. "They arrived in a commando style and headed straight into the palace where they kidnapped the traditional ruler, but his cousin, who was with him, managed to escape. Authorities in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa have recovered body of a newborn baby dumped inside a pit latrine by a 16-year-old mother.  IPSS Rescue responded together with the Umhlali South African Police Service (SAPS) K9 Search and Rescue unit after receiving reports that a baby was dumped inside the two-metre-deep toilet in Maphumulo on Friday, January 5, 2024. The Abia State Police Command has arrested a radio presenter, Anumudu Chigozie, for allegedly sodomising a 15-year-old boy in the Obingwa area of the state.   Spokesperson of the command, Maureen Chinaka, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, January 6, 2024, said the suspect, popularly known as MC Manosky, was arrested by men of the Eastern Ngwa Division following a report lodged against him.   "Abia State Police Command received a report on January 1, 2024, of an alleged incident of carnal knowledge by Mr. Anumudu Chigozie,, a 37-year-old resident of Umuobiakwa Village in Eastern Division, the PPRO stated.   “Mr. Chigozie was accused of engaging in unlawful carnal knowledge with a minor (names withheld). Deobra Redden, the “ flying” felon who attacked a Vegas judge has now been hit with more charges and is now placed in solitary confinement.   Deobra Redden was moved to a solo cell following his violent outburst where he leapt over the bench at Judge Mary Kay Holthus earlier this week, punching her in the head and pulling her hair while court staffers rushed to her aid.   This occurred while he was in court for a previous conviction for attempted battery with substantial bodily harm. His attorney had asked Judge Holthus for parole, but she chose to sentence the 3-time felon instead which set him off and led to the attack.   Redden has been classified as a "2C" inmate, which is the most restrictive classification in the Clark County Jail.     This means Redden is solo in a cell, without any interactions with other inmates. L ightweight boxing star, Ryan Garcia has announced that he is divorcing his partner, Andrea Celina , just after they welcomed a baby boy named Henry Leo .   Ryan had announced the birth of their baby boy on Instagram by sharing a photo of him at the hospital.
