A new survey i n the U.S. job market has revealed that more companies are shifting away from the tradition of requiring applicants to have bachelor’s degrees to be considered for certain positions.   While some companies like Walmart, IBM, Accenture, Bank of America, and Google have already declared that they will minimize the number of jobs requiring a college degree, Daily Wire reported that other big companies are now looking to follow suit by next year.   Intelligent had also reported that living costs have skyrocketed in recent years, and paying college tuition has caused many people to steer away from the idea of getting themselves a bachelor’s degree.   The publication recently c onducted a survey that included 800 U.S. employers. Super Eagles star, Ahmed Musa's Christmas day post has stirred up some reactions.  The footballer had shared a photo of his wife sitting beside a Christmas tree, in celebration of Christmas. Musa wrote;  “ Compliments of the season. This festive season, I pray that you experience true joy and peace and may things of celebration never cease from your household. Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah has been criticised by Muslim fans on social media after he posted a Christmas message to his Christain fans.      The Egyptian footballer, who is Muslim, posted a photo of a Christmas tree and wrote about the conflict involving Israel and Palestine  in his caption before wishing his followers a 'Merry Christmas'.      Shortly after the post, the footballer faced criticism from Muslim fans for his traditional Christmas post.     One fan wrote that Salah is 'embarrassing to the Muslim world' while another said they were 'disappointed' with the Liverpool star.      Another supporter wrote: 'This is so uncouth Salah, you are Muslim not Christian. Singer Mariah Carey has again broken the all-time record for most Spotify streams in a single day on Christmas Eve.    "All I Want For Christmas Is You" was streamed 23,701,697 times in 2023. With the new streaming record, Mariah shattered the record which she set on Christmas Eve last year when the song was streamed 21,273,357.   Mariah has been in a "Queen of Christmas" battle with Brenda Lee this year, and for the first time since Mariah's reign began, Brenda snagged the number 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 for one week during the lead-up to Christmas.    She was a good sport about it, sending Brenda some flowers and a congratulatory note. Mariah recaptured the top spot the following week.

American superstar singer, Beyoncé 's childhood home went up in flames on Christmas Day.     Officials said they responded to reports of a fire at the home located in Houston's Third Ward at about 2am. When firefighters arrived, the two-story house was in flames, causing them to start an aggressive fire attack.     Firefighters were able to get most of the fire down but then had to cut into the roof to clear the attic. The couple living in the home self-evacuated with their two small children before HFD’s arrival.     Firefighters said there have been no reports of injuries.

Pope Francis has slammed the weapons industry and its 'instruments of death' that fuel wars while calling for an end to Israel's military campaign in Gaza.     Speaking from the loggia of St Peter's Basilica to the crowds of people below, Francis made a Christmas Day appeal for peace in the world.   The pope said he grieved the 'abominable attack' of Hamas against southern Israel on October 7 and called for the release of hostages.   He also called for an end to Israel's military campaign in Gaza and the 'appalling harvest of innocent civilians' and urged that humanitarian aid reach those in need. Palestinian flags waved in the crowd as one faithful held up a sign reading 'peace'.''''
