   A North Carolina mum used a popular tracking app to catch her son having sex with his high school teacher in her car, according to reports.  The unidentified mum had installed Life 360 on her son’s device and grew suspicious after she was alerted to his absence from rugby practice.  Instead, the app showed that he was near a local park.  The mother drove to the location in Mecklenburg and found him in the act with 26-year-old South Mecklenburg High School teacher Gabriela Cartaya-Neufeld, according to WSOC.  After taking several pictures of the educator’s vehicle and license plate, the shocked mother called the police to the scene and Cartaya-Neufeld was taken into custody.  The parent, police said, had heard rumours of her son’s illicit relationship previously and was already on high alert before she caught them red-handed.  Cartaya-Neufeld, a science teacher, got intimate with the teen in her car, inside his mother’...

The New York State Appellate Division First Department has rejected former US President Donald Trump’s challenge to the gag orders imposed by Judge Arthur Engoron.   The non-jury civil trial stems from New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit against Trump and his businesses in the state.   Back in September, Engoron ruled that Trump and the Trump Organization had committed fraud while building his real estate empire, by deceiving banks, insurers and others, by overvaluing his assets and exaggerating his net worth on paperwork used in making deals and securing financing. "He ruled against me without knowing anything about me," Trump said on the stand. A mum accused of smothering her twin 2-year-old daughters to death has pleaded guilty, New York officials said.   Tenia Campbell’s mom called 911 in June 2019, saying her 28-year-old daughter was “driving around in the family van and was threatening to kill her daughters,” according to a Dec. 13 news release by the Suffolk County District Attorney. Officers were dispatched to the areas between Medford and Montauk looking for Campbell, officials said.   An East Hampton police officer saw the van and Campbell outside it, the district attorney said.     When the officer went to the van, the twins were found “dead in their car seats,” officials said. Campbell later said she smothered them, officials said.   “This is such a sad and tragic case. Those two little girls looked to this defendant, their mother, for protection and love. A former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, is dead.   A statement released by his family and signed by Chief Rob Ezeife, says he died at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, on Thursday, December 14.  Born on November 20, 1938, the deceased fondly called ‘Okwadike’, was governor of Anambra state between January 1992 to November 1993 during the aborted Third Republic.   The statement reads;   “On behalf of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu, I wish to announce the promotion to glory of our most distinguished son, ‘Okwadike’, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON, a former Federal Permanent Secretary, a former governor of Anambra State, a former Political Adviser to the President and former Presidential aspirant. This sad event took place yesterday at 6 pm at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja. More details about the deceased and the arrangements for his state burial will be announced later.”   May his soul rest in peace, Amen.  

The Supreme Court, on Friday, Dec. 15, nullified the judgment of the Court of Appeal that ordered the Federal Government to release the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, from detention.  The apex court upheld the appeal by the federal government, challenging the Court of Appeal decision, which ordered Kanu’s release.  The apex court then ordered Kanu to return to the Federal High Court, Abuja, to face his seven-count of terrorism.  Though the Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision by a five-member panel of Justices, acknowledged that FG acted “irresponsibly” when it forcefully brought Kanu back to the country from Kenya, against all known laws, however, it held that it was not enough to divest the trial court of its jurisdiction to continue with the case.  It held that there is no legislation in the country that stripped the trial court of the jurisdiction to go ahead with Kanu’s case, despite the illegal action that...

  A man allegedly tried to kill his terminally ill wife while in hospice care in front of her family to “ease her suffering,” saying he’d “do it again” if he had the chance. DeWayne McCulla, 45, from Utah, USA, was charged with attempted murder on Wednesday, December 13 after he was accused of choking his wife, Arenda Lee McCulla, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, on December 20, 2021. The next night, his wife, Arenda McCulla, 47, died from her long battle with the illness. On the night of the alleged attempted murder, her husband had “choked the victim in an attempt to kill her to ease her suffering while they were with her during her terminal cancer and being on hospice,” according to charging documents obtained by KSL. Six family members reportedly had to pull DeWayne McCulla off his dying wife after they saw her gasping for air, according to the documents.
