A-list celebrities came out in their numbers, dressed to the nines, for the third annual Academy Museum Gala in  Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 3. Selena Gomez,  Dua Lipa, 28, Hailey Bieber, 27,  Kendall Jenner, 28, Oprah Winfrey, Keke Palmer, and Lupita Nyong’o were among many other A-listers at the event. The annual Gala was launched in 2021 to raise funds for the museum’s exhibitions and public programming and always draws in a red carpet so star-studded it rivals the  Academy Awards themselves. Troops of Operation Desert Sanity in Maiduguri, Borno State, have arrested three soldiers for allegedly stealing ammunition. According to Punch, the soldiers were arrested during a covert operation at the motor parks along Njimtilo Road in Maiduguri. A military source told the publication that two of the soldiers were heading to Markudi, while one was travelling to Abuja. One of the soldiers was said to have concealed the ammunition in a bag of rice.   The source said, “On December 2, troops conducted a convert operations at motor parks and along Njimtilo Road at Njimtilo, three soldiers were arrested. One was en route to Makurdi with 250 rounds of 7.62 MM. “Another en route to Makurdi was arrested with four fully-loaded magazines and 110 rounds concealed in a mudu of rice. “The last soldier was going to Abuja. He was arrested with 14 rounds of 7.62MM. The suspects are in custody for further investigation. “

Football coach Deion Sanders and movie producer Tracey Edmonds have ended their engagement, the couple announced on Instagram Sunday night  "To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love...We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we've shared together," Edmonds wrote in a statement on her Instagram page.  "Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two members of a notorious robbery syndicate that specialize in burgling churches in the state and stealing musical equipment.      Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, December 3, 2023, said the suspects, Patrick Emete and Alex Uwagbafor, were arrested by operatives from the Orerokpe police station after burgling Redeemed Christian Church of God in the area.      According to the PPRO, the suspects who also specialize in breaking into homes and shops, carted away several church instruments, loudspeakers, three generator sets, fifteen large mixers amplifiers, four keyboards, twelve power amplifiers, one complete drum set, among other items.    “The Orerokpe Divisional Police Headquarters of the Delta State Police Command arrested two suspects for their infamous strings of church break-ins in Delta State. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to face the continuation of his long-running trial on corruption charges, with proceedings resuming on Monday, December 4, despite the conflict in Gaza.   The trial, taking place in a Jerusalem court, will look into various corruption allegations filed against Netanyahu in 2019, known as Case 1000, 2000, and 4000. The charges include fraud, bribery, and breach of trust.   Netanyahu and his wife Sara, are accused in Case 1000 of accepting gifts, including champagne and cigars, from Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan and businessman James Packer in exchange for political favours. The Durban High Court in South Africa has sentenced a 59-year-old man, Kista Sergie Chetty, to five life jail terms for the murder of his wife, their three children and a relative.    Chetty killed Elisha Naidoo, 36, Jadene Naidoo, 13, Liam Naidoo, 8, Jordan Naidoo, 8 and Aldrin The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) provincial spokesperson, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, in a statement on Monday, December 4, 2023, said in addition to the life imprisonment, he received an additional 49 years imprisonment for six counts of attempted murder and arson.    “Chetty lived with his wife, Elisha Naidoo and their five minor children in a house which they rented in Kidstone Place in Phoenix.
