  Borussia Monchengladbach defender Stefan Lainer has been diagnosed with lymphoma, the Bundesliga club have announced. The 30-year-old, who has made 125 appearances for the German club, will need to undergo treatment for cancer and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.   The footballer was informed the disease was detected 'extremely early' and is treatable with medication.   Gladbach director Roland Virkus, said: 'We will do all we can to get Stevie the best possible treatment.  'We wish him and his family lots of strength and optimism in the fight against this disease.'   In a statement posted on the club's website, Gladbach advised that no further details of Lainer's treatment or condition will be made public.   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today July 27, sent 28 Ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.   A letter delivered to the Senate President this afternoon by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, included names such as former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state made the list.   Nigeria's Super Falcons have delivered one of the biggest wins of the ongoing Women's World Cup by grabbing a 3-2 win over co-host of the competition, Australia.    The first 20 minutes was exhilarating, with the Matildas dangerous on the ball and controlling possession. Ariana Grande 's boyfriend Ethan Slater has decided to move on from his marriage to Lilly Jay, by filing for a divorce.    TMZ reported that Ethan filed for divorce in New York on Wednesday, July 26, but the reason for their split is still unclear at the moment.   Two men who claimed they were se3ually abused as children by Pop King Michael Jackson have been given hope that their long-running lawsuit against the late singer's companies could be revived. Wade Robson and James Safechuck both appeared in the hugely controversial 2019 HBO documentary, Leaving Neverland.Robson, an Australian dancer and choreographer, now 40, met Jackson when he was five years old. He went on to appear in three Jackson music videos. His lawsuit alleged that Jackson molested him over a seven-year period. Safechuck, a California-born writer, now 45, said in his suit that he was nine when he met Jackson while filming a Pepsi commercial.  He said Jackson called him often and lavished him with gifts before moving on to a series of incidents of sexual abuse.  Robson filed suit in 2013, and Safechuck joined the following year.   US rapper, Travis Scott's concert at the pyramids in Egypt has been cancelled, organiser Live Nation Middle East said in a statement, citing production issues. “We regret to inform you that the UTOPIA show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled,” the concert promoter said in a statement on social media. “Unfortunately, despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert. We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired.”   The announcement added that refunds will be issued to ticket holders at their point of purchase; a Scott rep declined further comment. Although “complex production issues” were cited as the reason for the cancellation, multiple reports say that the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate, which issues the permits, had revoked the permit because the concert “goes against the cultural identity of the Egyptian people.” In ...

  Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez has criticised the attitude of his former team-mate Romelu Lukaku over his plans to join rivals Juventus.   After playing for Inter on loan last season, it was anticipated that Lukaku could secure a permanent move to the club from Chelsea. Elon Musk has revealed what he feels about men sleeping with women endlessly without love.    The South-African born World's Richest Man shared his view while responding to a tweet in which a man claimed that women are born with innate powers which men take away after sleeping with them. The Twitter user had also claimed that this is why most powerful men sleep with endless women.      Reacting to the claim, Elon Musk stated that sleeping with women endlessly without love is a cursed and hollow life.     

  Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles has filed for divorce from her second husband, actor Richard Lawson, after eight years of marriage.   Tina, 69, filed the paperwork on Wednesday, July 26, citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split as per TMZ. She listed the date of separation as Tuesday, July 25, according to the documents obtained by the publication.   In the documents, Tina also asks 'to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support' to Richard, 76, or her. Tina and Richard said 'I do' in April 2015.   A motion seeking the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been rejected by the senate.  The motion sponsored by Osita Izunaso, an All Progressives Congress (APC) senator representing Imo, was titled “Condemning the disruptive nature of sit-at-home Demonstrations in south-east Nigeria”. It was also co-sponsored by all other senators from the south-east region.   The Imo-born lawmaker pointed out that investors have been forced to leave the region and that thousands of innocent lives have been lost since IPOB's sit-at-home order started.   A former British rapper-turned-Jihadi has been found dead in his prison cell in Spain. Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, 32, had been tried earlier this month at a court in Madrid on suspicion of heading an itinerant jihadist cell he allegedly formed after leaving Syria, and was awaiting the verdict. He was found dead at a prison in El Puerto de Santa Maria in Cadiz, southwest Spain. One unconfirmed local report said his body presented no obvious signs of any violence.   An internal Spanish Prison service investigation will now take place and his family will be given the right to hold their own autopsy aside from the official post-mortem to establish the exact cause of death. A separate probe will be carried out by a court in the town of El Puerto de Santa Maria. He was arrested with two men described as aides less than a week after they were smuggled onto a beach on Spain's south-east coastline in April 2020.
