  A London court on Monday, July 24, ordered Bhadresh Gohil, ex-lawyer of former Governor of Delta state, James Ibori to pay around 28 million pounds (around $36 million) for helping him to hide funds gained illegally.   59-year-old Gohil was convicted in the UK in 2010 of money laundering, prejudicing a money laundering investigation, and conspiracy to defraud. He was sentenced to more than 10 years imprisonment. His co-defendant James Ibori, 61, a former governor of Delta State, admitted conspiracy to commit money laundering, conspiracy to defraud, and conspiracy to make false instruments in 2012.   NBA superstar, LeBron James' son Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest while training at the University of Southern California (USC) on Monday, July 24. The son of the Lakers superstar was rushed to hospital after the incident happened during a USC workout, according to TMZ. Bronny, who recently committed to the Trojans, was taken by ambulance from USC's Galen Center, the venue where the school's basketball team plays and practices, after a 911 call reportedly was made at about 9.26 am on Monday. The 18-year-old combo guard has been preparing for his first season of college basketball with the University of Southern California.   The European Union has announced new travel document requirements through its European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS).   Beginning in 2024, the European Union will require visitors to get pre-approval via the European Travel Information and Authorisation System, and that goes for summer jet-setters from the US.   The application form, which will be available on the official ETIAS website as well as a mobile application, has a fee of 7 euros or $7.79 U.S. dollars. All communication is done by email.   American citizens, as well as travelers from 60 other countries, will require an ETIAS visa waiver to travel to any of the Schengen-zone countries for short stays once the ETIAS program goes into effect.   The list of ETIAS-eligible countries includes Canada, Mexico, Australia, and many more. A former pastor was arrested for the decades-old cold case murder of an 8-year-old girl in Pennsylvania after he admitted to abducting and killing the young girl while she was on her way to Bible camp, police officials in Delaware, US said. David Zandstra, 83, pulled up alongside Gretchen Harrington in his green station wagon on August 15, 1975, and offered her a ride, according to the Delaware County District Attorney’s office.   The pastor told investigators that he then took the girl to a secluded spot where he told her to take off her clothes, and then beat her to death when she refused.   The pastor, who was known to the family, said he drove back to church after the killing. “David Zandstra is a monster.   The man who drowned while paddleboarding on a pond outside the Obamas’ Martha’s Vineyard estate has been identified as the former US president's personal chef.   S heffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest legend, Chris Bart-Williams has passed on at the age of 49.    News of the retired footballer's death is coming hours after another former Nottingham Forest forward and England legend Trevor Francis was confirmed.    Chris Bart-Williams was based in the US at the time of his death. Sheffield Wednesday said in a statement;   "We are deeply saddened at the passing of our former player Chris Bart-Williams. Bart-Williams' untimely passing mirrors that of his manager at Hillsborough, Trevor Francis, who also died on this, one of the darkest days in our long history."   Nottingham Forest said they were "deeply saddened", adding: “Our thoughts go out to Chris' family and friends at this truly difficult time.”   Bart-Williams, who won 16 England Under-21 caps and one England 'B' cap, had poured more than three decades of his life into football, both as a player and coach.

  Rapper Wiz Khalifa's Los Angeles home was almost burgled but for the timely intervention of his security team.    Wiz Khalifa is currently on tour with Snoop Dogg and oddly, the burglers didn't expect the security guards who sent them running during the attempted Sunday evening heist. TMZ reported that three guys tried to get onto the property through a side gate around 6:38 PM, just as Wiz was in Michigan burning through live renditions of his classic songs for the High School Reunion Tour .   However, Wiz's security at the house sprung into action, running out to the gate where the 3 stooges spotted them and immediately turned to flee.   LAPD responded to the alarm, but the suspects had bolted by the time officers arrived. They filed an attempted burglary report, and opened the investigation.   Wiz is said to have increased security at his home as burglers broke into his house i n 2018 .
