Carmelo Anthony, the ninth-highest scorer in the history of the NBA, has retired from basketball after 19 seasons. The 38-year-old made his announcement on social media on Monday morning, May 22. Anthony was a 10-time All-Star who scored 28,289 points with six different teams. He did not play this season and last played with the Lakers in 2021-22.   Anthony played for the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers before joining the Lakers.  'I remember the days when I had nothing,' Anthony said in the video.   American sportcaster, Glen Kuiper has been fired from his role as Oakland A's broadcaster for using the n-word while on-air earlier this month. NBC Sports California said the decision to part ways with the longtime play-by-play man came after weekslong investigation into the incident. It said;    "We thank Glen for his dedication to Bay Area baseball over the years."   Kuiper had initially been suspended on May 6 for using the racial slur while talking with Dallas Braden just before the A's vs. Royals game on May 5.   During their conversation, Kuiper had been trying to explain to viewers what they did during the leadup to Oakland's contest in Kansas City but in an attempt to say they had gone to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, he muttered the n-word instead. British actor, Ray Stevenson, best known for starring roles in “Punisher: War Zone” and the “Rome” television show, has died at the age of 58.   Stevenson died on Sunday May 21 , four days before his 59th birthday, his publicist confirmed in a statement. A cause of death has not been given.   The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported he had been hospitalized on the island of Ischia while in production on the film Cassino on Ischia, directed by Frank Ciota.   The Peter Mayhew Foundation, set up by the actor who played Chewbacca in the Star Wars films, tweeted: “We are sad to hear of the passing of Ray Stevenson.   “You may recognize Ray as Baylon Skoll from the upcoming Ahsoka show on Disney+. P opular messaging platform WhatsApp has announced that users can now edit their sent messages through a new ‘Edit’ feature.   With the feature rolling out globally in the coming weeks, senders will be able to modify their messages within 15 minutes of hitting send. The function can be accessed by long-pressing the message and choosing "edit" in the drop-down menu. The modified message will carry the label "edited", without showing edit history. Previously, the only way to correct a message sent in haste or containing an error was to delete it and send a fresh one, with recipients alerted to the fact by the removed post being replaced with the phrase: “This message was deleted.” “From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, we’re excited to bring you more control over your chats. A Christian teacher who was suspended from a school after calling a transgender boy a girl, has been banned from teaching. Joshua Sutcliffe, 33, was ruled by the Teaching Regulation Authority (TRA) to have failed to treat a pupil with 'dignity and respect' by 'misgendering' them.   The former maths teacher at The Cherwell School, a state secondary in Oxford, admitted to failing to use the pupil's preferred pronouns when praising a group of students during a maths lesson, The Telegraph reports.   In 2017, Mr. Sutcliffe was suspended and subsequently left the school after he praised a group of pupils by saying, 'well done girls', claiming later that this was not deliberate and that he apologised straight away.
