American singer, Kesha has revealed in a new interview, that she was secretly engaged at one point in time – but called it off.   Speaking with Rolling Stone on Tuesday, April 24, Kesha, 36, did not reveal the identity of her ex or share any further details about the failed engagement. However, she noted that the man who proposed to her is “still a friend” and that “Too Far Gone” – a song off of her upcoming album, “Gag Order” was written after they parted ways. The singer has most recently been in a long-term relationship with writer Brad Ashenfelter. They first began dating in 2014.   Last June, Kesha who also briefly dated Australian drummer, Alex Carapetis from August to November 2010 – opened up on social media about continuing to explore her sexuality. “I’m not gay. Justice Olusegun Ogunyemi of an Ekiti State High Court, Ado Ekiti Division has sentenced one Ismaila Ojo to death by hanging for strangulating his friend, Kareem Adu, over a motorcycle. The police prosecutor, Inspector Tunde Arowosola, had told the court Ojo committed the crime on May 13, 2018. He said the wife of the deceased, Agnes Adu, had come to the station to report that her husband had been killed at Odo-Uro by one Ismaila Ojo, over an ownership disputation and tussle, in respect of a motorcycle. Arowosola said the woman alleged that the defendant (Ojo) strangulated the deceased.  Also testifying, a policeman, Inspector Lasisi Bashiru, told the court that the accused was arrested and when interrogated, he confessed to the crime that on May 13, 2018, when he was taking his bath, Adu (the deceased) came to take a motorcycle which he parked in front of his house. American singer, Harry Belafonte has died at his home on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, aged 96.  The singer, actor, and civil rights activist who broke down racial barriers, died on Tuesday, April 25. The cause of his death was congestive heart failure, said Ken Sunshine, his longtime spokesman.  Belafonte stormed the pop charts and smashed racial barriers in the 1950s with his highly personal brand of folk music, and who went on to become a dynamic force in the civil rights movement.    Belafonte almost single-handedly ignited a craze for Caribbean music with hit records like “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)” and “Jamaica Farewell.” His album “Calypso,” which included both those songs, reached the top of the Billboard album chart shortly after its release in 1956 and stayed there for 31 weeks. Sacked CNN anchor Don Lemon is leaving the network with at least $25 million but is reportedly preparing for a potential legal battle with his former employer.   Lemon, the 51-year-old former co-host of “CNN This Morning,” had signed a high $7 million-a-year contract with CNN in September 2022 that runs until 2026, according to a report by Page Six.  However on Tuesday, April 24, it was revealed that Lemon has hired high-powered Los Angeles entertainment attorney Bryan Freedman to secure his exit and probe whether the former anchor is entitled to a further settlement, the report adds. Freedman, co-founder of the law firm Freedman & Taitelman LLP, is also representing Lemon’s former CNN colleague Chris Cuomo who remains in arbitration with CNN and is demanding $125 million for being fired.
