  The South African Police Service have launched a manhunt for a 34-year-old suspect who stoned his 23-year-old girlfriend and mother of his child to death in Giyani, Limpopo.    The horrific incident took place at Dzingidzingi village in the early hours of Saturday, April 8, 2023.   Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday, April 10.    “It is alleged that the victim (the 23-year-old woman) was with her friend, coming from the local tavern going home, when they met her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged that the two had a confrontation before the suspect assaulted the victim with a stone," said Ledwaba.    “ Her friend screamed for help and ran to close-by households. When she returned, the victim was critically injured and unconscious.   Yul Edochie has cleaned out his instagram, deleting multiple photos and videos at the same time.  The actor has deleted every photo of his second wife Judy Austin shared on Instagram over the past one year.  The actor still has photos of his first wife May Yul Edochie.    However, the post he made in April 2022 to announce that he has a new son and a second wife has been deleted.  In fact, all his posts from April 2022 have been deleted, save for one of him and his father.    Other posts he shared celebrating Judy, including the one he posted on her birthday in January 2023, have been deleted.  Even videos Yul shared to promote movies by him and Judy have been deleted or archived.   This comes weeks after Yul's first son with his first wife May died.     Below is a video showing that Yul's post from April 2022 introducing Judy and their son to the world is no longer available on his Instagram grid.

Thirty-one children have been brought back to Ukraine after being illegally taken to Russia from territories annexed by Moscow, a Ukranian charity has revealed. The children had been taken from the country’s northeastern region of Kharkiv and the southern region of Kherson, said Save Ukraine, which fights what it says are illegal deportations of Ukrainian children to Russian-controlled territory.   “Today we are welcoming home 31 more children who have been illegally taken by Russians from occupied territories,” Mykola Kuleba, head of the Save Ukraine charity, wrote on social media on Saturday, April 8.     According to footage released this weekend, the children, who carried suitcases and bags, crossed the border on foot and later boarded a bus to continue their journey. The police in Oyo state has begun an investigation into the death of an Ibadan vendor, Adeshina Olayinka popularly known as Khadi. The deceased who ran an online boutique where she sold female outfits was said to have been found dead in a  hotel in the Akobo area of the state on Thursday night, April 6.     The circumstances surrounding her death are yet unknown. Unconfirmed reports claim she lodged in the hotel with a yet-to-be-identified man and was later found dead in the hotel room by the receptionist.   The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Adewale Oyifeso who confirmed the incident to LIB, said investigation has commenced into the incident and that details will be made public as soon as possible.    

The United Kingdom has revised its policy on the recruitment of health workers from overseas.   The code of practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel in England, recently updated, has Nigeria returned to the red list countries, which means, “no active recruitment is permitted”.   Apart from Nigeria, the UK also placed 53 other countries on the red list of countries that should not be actively targeted for recruitment by health and social care employers.   It is recommended that employers, recruitment organisations, agencies, collaborations, and contracting bodies check the red country list for updates before any recruitment drive.   It defined active international recruitment in the code as the process by which UK health and social care employers (including local authorities), contracting bodies, recruitment organisations, agencies, collaborations, and sub-contractors target individuals to market UK employment oppor...
