A 49-foot-long narco submarine containing £72million of cocaine and two dead bodies has been discovered off Colombia. The Colombian Navy seized the 'ghost ship' which had more than 2.6 tons of cocaine on it in the Pacific Ocean. Authorities also found two survivors who were given life-saving medical attention at a nearby ship. Local authorities believe that the two who died were killed by toxic gas inhalation.   Spanish media are reporting that the submarine was one of three seized by Colombian officials - with all alleged to have belonged to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The FARC was a Marxist-Lennist guerrilla group which operated in Colombia between 1964 and 2017 and attempted to overthrow the country's government and establish a communist state. The 95th Annual Academy awards were presented on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the Dolby theater and it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.   Going into the awards show,  Everything Everywhere All at Once  led with the most nominations, 11 total, including for Best Picture. The other nine films in that top category are:  All Quiet on the Western Front ,  Avatar: The Way of Water ,  The Banshees of Inisherin ,  Elvis ,  The Fabelmans ,  Tár, Top Gun: Maverick ,  Triangle of Sadness  and  Women Talking .   Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven awards at the event. The 95th Academy Awards went down at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on Sunday, March 12. Jimmy Kimmel returned as Oscars host this year, marking the third time the late-night show host helmed the Academy Awards. Celebrities including Rihanna, Tems, Halle Bailey, Lady Gaga, Janelle Monáe, Angela Bassett. Lady Gaga, Brendan Frasera, and many more showed up on the red carpet, looking their best in their respective outfits.    

Tems is trending on Twitter over the "view-blocking" dress she wore to the 2023 Oscars.  The award-winning Nigerian singer looked gorgeous in her Lever Couture SS23 with a huge head piece that blocked the view of those sitting behind her.  Videos shared online shows people sitting behind Tems struggling to look over her dress just to get a glimpse of the stage.  Viewers have now taken to Twitter to react to Tems' outfit, with many calling her "rude" and "selfish".   See below.    

  Former Nigeria international footballer Vincent Enyeama has been named the greatest African goalkeeper of all time. Enyeama was named Africa’s all time best by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). The all time goalkeeper ranking was decided from 1987 to 2022. The IFFHS released the list of greatest goalkeepers in each FIFA federations with Enyeama selected from CAF. Enyeama represented Nigeria at three FIFA World Cups in Korea/Japan 2002, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014.   He featured in all the Super Eagles’ matches as they became African champions at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.   Enyeama also won back-to-back CAF Champions League titles in 2003 and 2004.   A grandmother was mauled to death by a pit bull dog she rescued as a starving stray from the street.   Anne Shields, a British woman living in Spain, named the dog Choccy after taking him into her holiday home in Macastre, near Valencia.   Speaking to The Sun her daughter said she wanted to put Choccy in a local shelter, but was told they had no space. ‘She was an animal lover and couldn’t bear the thought of throwing Choccy back on the streets,’ Sarah, 43, said.   Ms Shields, 67, decided to care for the dog until she could found him a home – but Choccy suddenly turned on her and started attacking her.   Neighbours alerted the police after hearing screams from the property, and they arrived to find the aged woman with ‘catastrophic’ head and arm injuries.   Police officers shot the dog after arriving at the scene to give medics a chance of saving the pensioner but she didn't make it.

Ahmaad Galloway, the former University of Alabama Right-Back who played for Tide from 1999 to 2002, reportedly died from an accidental overdose.    The Office of the Medical Examiner in St. Louis told TMZ that the ex-football player died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, ethanol and xylazine at the age of 42.   Galloway was found dead in his home on January 9, after he failed to show up at his job as an eighth-grade teacher at Compton-Drew Middle School in St. Louis.   The school's principal, Susan Reid , said he showed no signs of trouble leading up to his death and had just attended a students' basketball game days prior to his passing.   In the three years he played for Tide, Galloway rushed for 1,830 yards and 17 touchdowns. He went on to be picked by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
