A Nigerian footballer in Spain has died after he collapsed on the pitch. Ado Hadi, 21, who plays for CD Madridejos in the Spanish Terceira division, collapsed and died during his side?s home match against SP Cabanillas on Sunday, February 5.  In a Castilla-La Mancha Football Federation statement, Hadi reportedly collapsed for no apparent reasons in the 39th minute of the ill-fated match. The medical team on the ground at the Municipal Toledo ground immediately came to his aide but efforts to revive him proved abortive as he was later pronounced dead minutes after. The Castilla-La Mancha Football Federation and Castilian-La Mancha football, with its President Pablo Burillo at the helm, are totally dismayed at such an event, the statement added. A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey and northern Syria early Monday morning, February 6, destroying hundreds of buildings and killing at least 641 people as at press time.   Turkish officials say they believe hundreds were still trapped under rubble, and the toll is expected to rise as rescue workers searched mounds of wreckage in cities and towns across the area. On both sides of the Turkey-Syria border, residents were woken from sleep by the pre-dawn quake on a cold, rainy and snowy winter night. The quake, felt as far away as Cairo in Egypt, struck a region that has been shaped by more than a decade of civil war in Syria. Millions of Syrian refugees live in Turkey. The area of Syria affected by the quake is divided between government-held territory and the country's last opposition-held enclave, which is surrounded by Russian-backed government forces. Superstar footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo turned 38 on Sunday and he celebrated his big day with three birthday cakes. The Portuguese star posted a picture on Instagram of himself celebrating with family and friends, including his partner Georgina Rodriguez and his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Ronaldo wrote on Instagram: 'Thank you everyone for all the birthday messages. Grateful to have spent the day with my family and friends.'   Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr following his acrimonious departure from Manchester United after he criticised the club during an interview with Piers Morgan, He became the highest-paid earner in sports following his move to Al-Nassr. Beyonce is now the decorated Grammy artist of all time, after picking up her 32nd trophy at this year's ceremony and breaking the 26-year record held by Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti.   Beyonce entered the night as the most awarded woman in Grammy history, and tied with producer Quincy Jones, who has 28 wins, for second-most overall trophies. Her fourth award for the night which was also her 32nd Grammy win, gave her the record for most Grammy victories.   The 41-year-old singer made history after winning the best dance/electronic music album category for her house music-sampling album Renaissance. The 2023 Grammy awards held in Los Angeles on Sunday night February 5, and had some of the biggest musical artists in the world in attendance. Beyonce has now won more Grammy Awards 32 than any other artist in history. She broke the record when her album "Renaissance" won the Grammy for best dance/electronic album. Former California Governor and Hollywood star, Arnold Schwarzenegger was involved in a traffic accident that sent a bicyclist to the Emergency Room.  Eyewitnesses told TMZ that Arnold was driving in West Los Angeles on Sunday morning, when a woman riding a bike on the road suddenly swerved into his lane and made contact with his vehicle.     The woman was transported to a hospital after first responders arrived at the scene. While an investigation is ongoing, law enforcement officials have said Schwarzenegger is not at fault for the collision. The woman suffered minor injuries and is expected to be fine.

Twitter is considering charging businesses on the platform $1,000 a month to retain their gold-verified checkmarks. According to a report from The Information, companies, and organizations that fail to pay the fee will lose their badges, although it's not clear when. Internal messages viewed by the outlet suggested that it will cost $1,000 a month to keep gold badges and another $50 a month for each 'affiliated account'. That claim corroborates a leaked email from a Twitter staff member to an unknown organization in which it was offered 'early access' to 'Verification for Organizations.' In the email, dated February 2 and shared by social media analyst Matt Navarra, the staff member, Evan Jones, quoted the same $1,000 cost of subscription and offered the organization a 'gold checkmark' in return.   US Navy divers are working to recover the wreckage of the Chinese surveillance balloon that was shot down off the coast of South Carolina. The high-altitude balloon - thought to be the size of three buses - was shot out of the sky by a Sidewinder air-to-air missile fired from an F-22 jet fighter. It came down about six nautical miles off the US coast at 14:39 EST (19:39 GMT) on Saturday. US TV networks broadcast the moment the missile struck, with the giant white object falling to the sea after a small explosion.   The debris landed in 47ft (14m) of water shallower than they had expected - and is spread over seven miles (11km).   Explaining the decision to shoot the balloon down, a US defence official said in a statement, that "while we took all necessary steps to protect against the PRC [China] surveillance balloon's collection of sensitive information, the surveillance balloon's overflight of US territory was of intelligence value to us."   China's f...

On Sunday night, Jan. 5, while the Grammys was still going on, he took to his Instagram Stories to share his anger.  Brown posted an image of Robert Glasper and wrote, Y'all playing. Roman Catholic church leader,Pope Francis and the leaders of protestant churches in England and Scotland have denounced the criminalisation of homosexuality, saying those with "homosexual tendencies" should be welcomed by their churches. Archbishop Justin Welby and Iain Greenshields, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, travelled with the Pope to South Sudan where they jointly called for peace in the war-torn country.  Speaking to reporters, the Pope said such laws were a sin and "an injustice".  He added people with "homosexual tendencies" are children of God.     Archbishop Welby and Dr Greenshields praised the Pope's comments during a news conference with reporters on board the papal plane as they travelled from Juba to Rome.
