  A building under construction along Isi Ewu road, Nbodo Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, collaped on Saturday, February 4, leaving at least three persons who were labourers at the site dead.   The workers were on site at the two-storey building when it caved in on Saturday evening leaving many of them injured and three feared dead. The Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Rivers State Command, Olufemi Ayodele, who confirmed the incident, said preliminary investigation revealed that the rods, pillars and blocks used in the construction of the two-storey building were far below the required specifications.   ?It is high time Nigerians began to take responsibility for their actions most especially when life of humans are involved.   A teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old student whom he called his girlfriend? ? in a classroom multiple times, police say. David Augustine Hodge Jr., 30, from Florida, USA, was charged on Wednesday, February 1 with four counts of engaging in sexual acts with a child after the girl?s parents discovered the alleged abuse and reported him. According to NBC 6, police accused Hodge, a science teacher and chess club mentor at West Homestead K-8 Center, of grooming the girl, who is now 13, in October last year. He and the girl first started messaging each other via text and Instagram about school-related topics but the conversations shifted to a sexual nature, police say.   The girl told police that she and Hodge eventually started exchanging nude photos.   The US Military shot down a suspected Chinese surveillance ballon on Saturday afternoon, February 4, after it flew across sensitive American military sites several days this week.   The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) closed down airspace over parts of North Carolina and South Carolina on Saturday amid reports that the Biden administration was considering shooting down a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon.
