An elderly jeweler from Brooklyn, New York was brutally beaten by two bandits during a $100,000 robbery and as at Wednesday, January 4, was fighting for his life, as the search for the fugitive suspects continues.   Manny Cohen, 79, the father of three and grandfather of nine, remained hospitalized and unconscious from the Dec. 30 attack inside Roxy Jewelry on Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn. He was working alone in the shop when the thieves struck around 5:30 p.m. Police said the two men escaped with more than $100,000 in merchandise, with no arrests made in the case.   “These thugs, they went in there with the intention to kill him,” the victim’s son, Shawn told the Daily News.   “They thought they killed him. The stars of ‘Romeo and Juliet’, a 1968 Oscar-winning film, have sued Paramount Pictures. According to BBC, the lawsuit was filed last Friday in the Santa Monica superior court in Los Angeles. The actors, Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey, are alleging s*xual abuse over the portrayal of a n*de scene. Whiting and Hussey, now aged over 70, were teenagers when the movie was produced. In the suit, the actors claimed the director Franco Zeffirelli, who died in 2019, encouraged them to take up n*de scenes.   They alleged that this was despite previous assurances that they would not have to. The actors claimed that, on the morning of the shoot, the director told them they would wear only body makeup. They alleged that Zeffirelli assured them the camera would be positioned to not show nudity. In the final film, Whiting’s bare buttocks and Hussey’s bare bre*sts were briefly shown.   Four suspects have been arrested with 298 bags of Indian hemp by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency attached to the Kaduna State Command. The NDLEA state Commander, Mr Ibrahim Braji, said the suspects were arrested on the evening of January 3, at Tasu Mahuta community on Refinery Road, Chikun Local Government Area of the state. The four suspects were two females and two males and bags of Indian hemp weighing 3,576kg were recovered from them.  NDLEA operatives are now investigating the matter to unravel other suspects for arrest and prosecution.  

Jamie Lynn Spears has given an insight on what it feels like being the sister of singer, Britney Spears.  Speaking during a Fox reality show’s premiere on Wednesday, January 4, Jamie revealed that she has always struggled with self-esteem.   He said;    “Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young. “I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know.   Prince Harry has partly blamed his brother, Prince William and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton over the Nazi costume he wore which led to a scandal in 2005.   Harry was 20 when The Sun newspaper published a front-page photo of him dressed as a Nazi soldier with a red armband emblazoned with a big swastika. The picture was taken at a costume party with a “Native and Colonial” theme, where William was also a guest and was dressed in a homemade lion outfit. The Duke of Sussex in his new memoir, said the Prince and Princess of Wales “howled with laughter” when they saw him dressed up for the 2005 party.   In one segment of the book obtained by Page Six, Harry writes about choosing the outfit, revealing that it was a toss-up between two costumes: a pilot uniform or a Nazi uniform.   “I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought.
