  American actress, Amanda Bynes is reportedly in a new mental health facility for inpatient treatment.   According to TMZ, the 37-year-old former child star 'checked herself into an intensive inpatient mental health treatment center in Orange County at the beginning of July.'   It came days after Bynes checked out of a Los Angeles-area outpatient program.   The outlet reported that the actress no longer wanted to live alone and sought a more therapeutic environment. It was also noted that the actress required more assistance than the former treatment was providing. Insiders told the publication that Amanda, who rose to fame while starring on Nickelodeon in the late 90s, was introduced to the new center through her previous one. Amanda likes being around a medical team, therapists, and other patients, because she's able to have more social interaction.   Hours after the Kremlin accused Kyiv of targeting Moscow with drones, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the "war is gradually returning to Russia". The Russian Defence Ministry said three drones were intercepted on Sunday but a business and shopping development in the west of the capital was hit. The fifth and sixth floor of a 50-story building were damaged, and no casualties were reported, state news agency TASS said.   The Lagos state police command has arraigned a 36-year-old panel beater identified as Lukman Alao, before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing his customer’s car’s catalytic converter valued at N400,000. According to the prosecutor, Inspector Segun Oke, the defendant who resides at 17, Emmanuel St., Onigbongbo Maryland, Lagos, allegedly committed the offence on October 15, 2022 at Maryland, Lagos.   An American woman has been charged with faking her own abduction after handing herself in to the police. Carlee Russell has been charged with two misdemeanor charges of filing a false report. She now faces up to two years in jail and $12,000 in fines. She was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond. Russell, 25, was driving home from work in Hoover, Alabama, on July 13 when she called 911 claiming she'd seen a toddler in a diaper on the side of the road. She then called her brother's girlfriend, claiming the same sight, and screamed down the phone. She wasn't seen again for two days, then turned up at her parent's house with a cut lip and a tall tale about having been snatched by a man with orange hair who held her captive for two days before she managed to somehow escape.   Executive chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Vince McMahon has reportedly gone under the knife. According to TMZ, McMahon underwent major spinal surgery last week, and it lasted four hours . TMZ added that the WWE honcho is now “at home recovering.”  McMahon, 77, returned to leading WWE earlier this year, executing something of a boardroom coup to come back to the company he’s managed for over 40 years. Last year, he stepped away for six months due to a series of workplace misconduct claims that were settled before lawsuits became public.   Amanda, Davido’s second baby mama has denied welcoming another child with the Nigerian superstar.    Anita Brown, the American lady claiming to be pregnant for Davido made the claim shortly after Amanda shared a photo of her carrying a child.   Amanda has now countered the claim, while also revealing that the baby she was carrying was her friend’s.   Authorities in Singapore have executed a woman for the first time in almost 20 years after she was convicted of trafficking heroin.   Saridewi Binte Djamani, 45, was sentenced to death in 2018 for trafficking around 30 grams of heroin.   The execution was carried out despite appeals from rights groups, who argue capital punishment has no proven deterrent effect on crime. 'The capital sentence of death imposed on Saridewi Binte Djamani was carried out on 28 July 2023,' the Central Narcotics Bureau said in a statement.   She was convicted of trafficking 'not less than 30.72 grams' of heroin, more than twice the volume that merits the death penalty in Singapore.   Djamani 'was accorded full due process under the law, and was represented by legal counsel throughout the process,' the bureau said.   The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police has apprehended a Nigerian and two Tanzanian nationals allegedly involved in drug trafficking.    The arrests were made on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, as part of the ANC’s ongoing efforts to combat drug smuggling in the city.   The first arrest involved the Nigerian, Chimezie Chika Edward Amaraegbu, 45, who resided in Nalasopara.    He was allegedly caught with a substantial amount of drugs—200 grams of methamphetamine and 100 grams of mephedrone (MD) with an estimated street value of Rs 60 lakh.  Investigations also revealed that Amaraegbu was living in India without valid documents, and he was also booked under violation of the Foreigners Act 1946.    According to the police, he had originally entered India on a medical visa back in 2012 and was supplying drugs to peddlers in the city while also running a garments business.   The Tanzanians, Abdalla Kombo and Bruno Ahmed Al...

  Borussia Monchengladbach defender Stefan Lainer has been diagnosed with lymphoma, the Bundesliga club have announced. The 30-year-old, who has made 125 appearances for the German club, will need to undergo treatment for cancer and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.   The footballer was informed the disease was detected 'extremely early' and is treatable with medication.   Gladbach director Roland Virkus, said: 'We will do all we can to get Stevie the best possible treatment.  'We wish him and his family lots of strength and optimism in the fight against this disease.'   In a statement posted on the club's website, Gladbach advised that no further details of Lainer's treatment or condition will be made public.   Two men who claimed they were se3ually abused as children by Pop King Michael Jackson have been given hope that their long-running lawsuit against the late singer's companies could be revived. Wade Robson and James Safechuck both appeared in the hugely controversial 2019 HBO documentary, Leaving Neverland.Robson, an Australian dancer and choreographer, now 40, met Jackson when he was five years old. He went on to appear in three Jackson music videos. His lawsuit alleged that Jackson molested him over a seven-year period. Safechuck, a California-born writer, now 45, said in his suit that he was nine when he met Jackson while filming a Pepsi commercial.  He said Jackson called him often and lavished him with gifts before moving on to a series of incidents of sexual abuse.  Robson filed suit in 2013, and Safechuck joined the following year.   US rapper, Travis Scott's concert at the pyramids in Egypt has been cancelled, organiser Live Nation Middle East said in a statement, citing production issues. “We regret to inform you that the UTOPIA show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled,” the concert promoter said in a statement on social media. “Unfortunately, despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert. We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired.”   The announcement added that refunds will be issued to ticket holders at their point of purchase; a Scott rep declined further comment.
