A Russian politician who had criticised Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as "terror," has been found dead after a mysterious fall from a hotel in India. Sausage multi-millionaire Pavel Antov, from the main pro-Putin party, United Russia, had been on a holiday to celebrate his impending 66th birthday. Indian media reports say the Antov "jumped" from the roof of the hotel and was found in a pool of blood, however, the Russian Consul General in Calcutta Alexei Idamkin told TASS that the Russian meat mogul "fell" out of a hotel window in Rayagada, Odisha state.     Alexei Idamkin said: "We are closely following the investigation and receiving all the information from the Odisha police." A woman in California died early Christmas morning in a house fire sparked by an artificial Christmas tree. Destiny Abdrazack, 22, was celebrating Christmas Eve with her fiancé’s family in their North Highlands home when an electrical short from the tree ignited a fire around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Dec 25, local NBC affiliate KCRA3 reported. Abdrazack screamed and this woke the five others in the house, according to her fiancé’s father Ernest Isom. "She was the one who yelled fire, and that’s the sad part," Isom told KCRA3 of the woman who was to be his future daughter-in-law. "She saved our lives." Abdrazack was pulled out of the burning building by firefighters but later died at an area hospital. Two family dogs also died in the fire and the house was destroyed. The five others in the house — Isom, his wife and son and two other adults — survived. Long Island Congressman-elect, George Santos has finally reacted to some serious allegations against him which centered on "lying".    Santos who spoke on WABC radio on Monday, December 26, confessed to lying while running to represent the people of New York's 3rd District, which includes northern Long Island and northeast Queens.   He admitted he did embellish his resume after a New York Times article exposed him. Santos disclosed that he never graduated from a college or worked directly for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs despite once claiming it all to be true.   The lawmaker further stated that he is remaining steadfast and won't step down after getting busted. DJ Cuppy has said that one can still find true love before the end of the year.    The singer, who got engaged to her fiancé, Ryan Taylor just days after they met, stated this on Instagram on Monday, December 26.  "2023 is a few days away...But you can still meet the love of your life before the end of the year," she wrote.   

A missing South African couple, Kiwiet Makangeni Mokoena and Nokuphila Dladla, have reportedly been discovered dead. Mokoena, 35, and a pregnant Dladla, 22, were last seen in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng on December 14th, 2022.  According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, the couple was last seen by a family member who visited them at their home.   On Wednesday, December 21, the SAPS announced in a statement that the couple’s family suspected they were kidnapped after their couldn’t find their TV and blood stains were discovered at their rented home.   The statement issued by SAPS that read: “Kiwiet Makangeni Mokoena, aged 35, and Nokuphila Dladla, aged 22, were last seen on Wednesday, 14 December 2022 allegedly by a family member who visited the couple at their place of residence in Vanderbijlpark.   "According to a preliminary report Mokoena and his heavily pregnant girlfriend Dladla were reported missing after Mokoe...

Just a day after President Vladimir Putin said he was open to negotiations over Ukraine, Russia's foreign minister has said Kyiv and the West must meet Moscow's demands.   Kyiv and the US have dismissed Putin's offer to talk, as Russian forces continue to batter Ukrainian towns with missiles and rockets and Moscow continues to demand that Kyiv recognizes it has annexed four Ukrainian territories  Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, calling it a "special operation" to "denazify" and demilitarise Ukraine, which he said was a threat to Russia.  Kyiv and the West say Putin's invasion was merely an imperialist land grab.
