American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion has officially made history as the first Black woman to cover Forbes 30 Under 30 issue. It has been reported that she made about $13 million this year from her music, ticket sales, and endorsements.  The Houston native sat down with Forbes writer, Jabari Young, to discuss her rising empire for her cover story.  “I can’t slow down right now,” she told the publication. “I’ll take a break when I’m dead. I’m trying to really build something.When I start sitting, I feel like I’m not doing enough or I’m giving somebody else the opportunity to pass me.” The “WAP” hitmaker also said that one of the biggest lessons she’s learned about the business side of music is to “save your money.” “I still haven’t made a stupid, crazy purchase. Die Hard and Top Gun star, Clarence Gilyard is dead after a long battle with ill health.    The actor who had a career that spanned 30 years, was best known for playing the computer hacker Theo in the hit movie Die Hard.     The actor who was born in Washington in 1955, enrolled at the US Air Force Academy before leaving after a year.    He also played football in Kansas before attending California State University in Long Beach where he signed up for an acting class.      Gilyard played the naval flight officer Marcus “Sundown” Williams in the 1986 film Top Gun. He also played Conrad McMasters, the right-hand man to the attorney Ben Matlock in the hit drama Matlock between 1989 and 1993.   Gilyard was also part of the cast in the 1990s crime series, Walker Texas Ranger.   Prior to his death, he was working as a theater professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Yemi Alade was robbed of her possession while visiting Abidjan,  Côte d'Ivoire.    The Nigerian singer performed at the Creative Africa Nexus last weekend.   She has now taken to Instagram to reveal that when she left her hotel room, "unknown people" got in, ransacked her belongings, and took all the money they could find.   See below.   

Kanye West has fired back at Donald Trump, describing the ex-president as a known liar after he called the rapper a 'deeply troubled man' following their controversial Mar-a-Lago dinner.   The hip-hop star, who has been airing a series of vile anti-Semitic rants and racist outbursts, was hosted at Trump's Florida estate alongside white nationalist Nick Fuentes last week.   The dinner caused outrage even among Republicans that the 45th president was entertaining Fuentes, a self-described homophobic white supremacist, while West has been dropped by major brands for his bigotry.   After the backlash, Trump tried to distance himself from the meeting and said he was only 'trying to help a seriously troubled man' in West.   But the rapper, who dined last night with another of Kim Kardashian's exes Ray J, along with Milo Yiannopoulos, has now hit back on the Timcast IRL podcast with Tim Pool, saying: 'I would have never wanted to ...

Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court, Abuja has sentenced the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba to three months in prison for disobeying a court order, Vanguard reports.   Olajuwon issued the ruling on Tuesday, November 28, 2022, following a suit filed by Patrick Okoli, a former police officer who claims he was unlawfully and compulsorily retired from the Nigerian police force.   According to the affidavits in support of the suit, the applicant was forcefully retired in June 1992.   After challenging his forceful retirement, a Bauchi high court on February 19, 1994, delivered judgment in favour of the applicant and quashed the letter of compulsory retirement. The high court also ordered that the applicant be reinstated with all rights and privileges.   The Police Service Commission (PSC) in a letter dated October 13, 2004, directed the then-IGP to reinstate the applicant and issue a recommendation for promotion in acc...
