  The Atlas Lions of Morocco stunned Belgium on Sunday afternoon, November 27 with two second-half goals to pick their first victory in the FIFA world cup in 24 years. It was Morocco's first win in Qatar 2022 and their second clean sheet in the competition.   Belgium were the overwhelming favourite for victory over Morocco, based on their past records in World Cup group-stage matches. However, that wasn’t the case in Sunday’s tie as Belgium players were subdued by two second-half goals from substitute players, Abdelhamid Sabiri and Zakaria Abdoukhal. The Atlas Lions, before Sunday, last tasted victory at the France 1998 World Cup when they trounced Scotland 3-0. The Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei has died at the age of 64, the country’s foreign ministry reported on Saturday, November 26. “Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, has suddenly passed away today,” the Foreign Ministry said in its official Facebook account, without providing  details about the circumstances surrounding the foreign minister’s death. Makei was born in 1958 in the Belarusian region of Grodno. He had been in the post since August 2012, according the foreign ministry’s website. Before his death, Makei was scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, according to Russian state media outlet RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Saturday expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Makei. Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a bumper three-year contract in Saudi Arabia.   The 37-year-old Portuguese star had his Manchester United contract terminated earlier this month after his controversial statements in a TV interview with Piers Morgan.   Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr have offered a contract worth £186million over three years to the iconic Portuguese striker, according to a report from CBS Sports.   The monstrous contract is said to be on the table in order to entice Ronaldo to make the switch to the Middle East, but the player is still evaluating the options available to him in Europe.  Al-Nassr are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having being crowned winners of the country's top flight nine times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2019.
