Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has bagged two new nominations for the 2023 Grammys.   The association on Tuesday, November 15, announced nominations for their forthcoming 65th edition, and Burna Boy clinched two nods for his  Love Damini  under the category of Best Global Music Album as well as "Last Last" for Best Global Performance.  In Best Global Music Performance category, Burna Boy will battle Arooj Aftab and Anoushka Shankar ( Udhero Na), Matt B and Eddy Kenzo (Gimme Love), Rocky Dawuni featuring Blvk H3ro (Neva Bow Down),  Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode (Bayethe).  For the Best Global Music Album category, the Nigerian singer battle it out with Berklee Indian Ensemble  (Shuruaat),  Angélique Kidjo and Ibrahim Maalouf (Queen of Sheba), Anoushka Shankar, Metropole Orkest, and Jules Buckley featuring Manu Delago (“Between Us … (Live), and Masa Takumi (Sakura)  This ...

Nigerian music sensation, Tems has been nominated for the Grammy Awards in 2023. The 27-year-old singer and songwriter bagged two nominations in the Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories. Her nominations are from her successful collaboration with American rapper Future on the song ‘Wait For You’, also featuring Drake.  

Google has agreed to pay $391.5 million to settle with 40 US states for misleading users about the collection of personal location data, making it the largest attorney general-led consumer privacy settlement ever, according to the US Department of Justice.   Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, who led the settlement along with Nebraska AG Doug Peterson, pointed out on Tuesday, November 15, that for years Google has prioritized profit over their users’ privacy. “Google misled its users into thinking they had turned off location tracking in their account settings, when, in fact, Google continued to collect their location information. In addition to the multimillion-dollar settlement, as part of the negotiations with the AGs, Google has agreed to significantly improve its location tracking disclosures and user controls starting in 2023.” reads the DoJ’s press release.     The authorities started the investigation into Google collection practice follow...

Blueface has been arrested for attempted murder.   The American rapper and his girlfriend Chrisean Rock were sitting on a bench looking at their phones on Tuesday, Nov. 15, when a swarm of undercover officers ran over and grabbed him before throwing him against a wall.   He was handcuffed outside Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles in Vegas in what appears to have been an undercover operation.   He has been charged with felony attempted murder with the use of a deadly firearm or tear gas, according to legal documents connected to the warrant, TMZ reports.     He's facing an additional charge of discharging a gun into a house, building, vehicle or craft.   The incident that got Blueface arrested occurred on October 8th.

Former US President, Donald Trump on Tuesday night, November 15, announced his third run for the White House, becoming the first Republican to enter the 2024 presidential race. Trump cast aside criticism over the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and recent Republican party anger about the GOP’s struggles in the midterm elections.  Trump, 76, declared his candidacy in Palm Beach, Florida, almost two years from the November 2024 national elections and after publicly flirting with a pre-midterm entry over the summer.      Official paperwork forming the “Donald J.
