Some offices of black market currency dealers in Abuja was on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, raided by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, who arrested some Bureaux De Change operators.    The areas raided included Zone 4 and Zone 3 of the FCT where numerous currency dealers thrive in large number and sell local and foreign currencies openly.   The arrested suspects were reportedly dragged into waiting vehicles, as pedestrians trudged the scene.   An official of the anti-graft agency told Vanguard the agency raided many bureaux de Change on Tuesday and arrested unspecified persons but declined to give the exact number of those taken away.    “We took them away in order to get to the root cause of the current Dollar scarcity and continuous Naira slide,” the official said.   "We are investigating them so as to give accurate information on the matter after our findings and then be able to apply appropriate...

WWE superstar, Carmella has suffered a miscarriage after spending 12 hours in an emergency room.   The 35-year-old shared the sad news on Instagram on Monday, October 31. Carmella said she went to the hospital after she felt "sharp pains on her left side".   The wrestler disclosed that a series of medical tests revealed that she had an ectopic pregnancy and would lose her baby.     Carmella added that this is the second time she's experiencing a miscarriage as she also suffered one in September.   She wrote;    I’ve gone back and forth with myself about posting this because I’m not looking for any sort of sympathy, but since today is the last day of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, I wanted to share my story. Boxing heavyweight world champion, Tyson Fury has been banned from entering the United States, his brother Tommy has confirmed.    It was first reported in June that Tyson, 34, was refused access to the US over his alleged links to crime boss Daniel Kinahan but he did not respond to calls for comment.   Now former Love Island star Tommy has finally confirmed both he and his brother are still being refused entry to the US.   Speaking on an MMA podcast today, Tommy said: 'Me and Tyson just can't get into America at the minute and that's the way it is.'     The ban is understood to centre around the Fury family's links to Irish boxing promoter Kinahan, who has been sanctioned by the US.   The US Treasury have imposed sanctions on Kinahan and the US Department of State have also announced the offering of rewards of up to $5million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of three members of the Kina...

  The last photos Takeoff posed for before he was shot dead in Houston are already going viral.   The Migos rapper was with his fellow Migos member/uncle Quavo while playing dice at 810 Billards & Bowling Houston in the early hours of November 1, 2022.     Photos show him smoking outside. Others show him (in a white t-shirt) playing dice with Quavo (red t-shirt), and others said to be family and friends.     A fan snapped with Takeoff and shared on Instagram during the night out. That is believed to be the last photo he posed for.     An argument soon broke out, which Takeoff had nothing to do with. Nigeria's first Minister of Aviation, Mbazulike Amechi is dead.    The First Republic minister died at the age of 93 in the early hours of Tuesday, November 1.  His son, Ezeana Tagbo Amechi, confirmed his death said in a statement that read;   “With total deference to the will of the Almighty God, the Ume Amaechi, Ezeana Ihidede families and Umu Mmara kindred of Amihe Ukpor in Nnewi south local government area of Anambra State announce the peaceful transition of our illustrious son, father and grandfather, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi. “We thank God for the fulfilled life that he lived, the lives he touched and service to God and country.”

Migos rapper, Takeoff, has reportedly died after he was shot in Houston early this morning, November 1. 28-year-old Takeoff, birth name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was reportedly shot over a dice game in Houston.  t was initially reported that his fellow Migos rapper, Quavo, was also shot but that has been refuted. A video circulating online shows Takeoff lying on the ground while a shaken Quavo (in a red T-shirt) struggled to come to terms with what had happened.   Takeoff, Quavo, and Cardi B's husband Offset make up the group Migos and are blood relatives.   Many have taken to Twitter to mourn Takeoff, making him trend even in Nigeria.     See tributes and a video of the aftermath of the shooting below.
