  The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari has filed a fresh application to strike out the drug trafficking charges preferred against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).   In the motion filed by his counsel, Ikpeazu Ikpeazu, he argued that the alleged offense his client is being tried for was committed during a police investigation and the Police Service Commission (PSC) has the authority to discipline the offenders.   He said the five-count charge is similar or related to allegations previously made by the applicants’ Police Service Commission in respect of disciplinary action against police officers and it was for the same subject matter and for the same period. “This charge against the applicants’ affected the completion of this constitutional procedure. Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov has stated that there is “no point” in maintaining the country’s current level of diplomatic presence in the West.    Speaking to state media RIA Novosti, Lavrov said Russian diplomats work in tough conditions caused by the war in Ukraine.   “It makes no sense, and we have no desire to maintain the same presence in Western countries. Our people work in conditions that can hardly be called human. They face constant problems, threats of physical attacks,” Lavrov said during a meeting with university graduates accepted into the diplomatic service.   “The main thing is that there is no work there since Europe decided to close itself from us and stop any economic cooperation. Kanye West is finally ready to settle his divorce with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, over a year after she filed paperwork to end their marriage.   The Blast reported that Kanye's lawyer has filed a 'declaration of disclosure', a sign that their case is on the verge of coming to a close.  According to the documents, Kanye has turned over all of his financial information to his estranged wife's legal team, and has also reached an agreement with her on how to divide their finances and property.   The Australian government has warned its citizens to avoid travelling to Nigeria due to flooding and civil unrest.   This was contained in a travel advisory issued to Australians Wednesday, October 19, on the consulate’s website.   The travel advisory partly reads: "There have been significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure caused by severe flooding. Essential services may be disrupted.
