  Minnesota Timberwolves guard,  Anthony Edwards has apologized for his use of homophobic language in an Instagram video shared earlier this month during  NBA media day.    The guard took to social media to post the clip from his car, in which he zooms in on a group of shirtless men on the sidewalk.   Edwards can be heard saying in the clip; 'Look at these queer a** n****s, man. Look at the world I came to.'     In a 32-second clip shared by ESPN, the 21-year-old expressed remorse for his language in the now-deleted video.    'I respect everybody,' Edwards said. Apple chief executive, Tim Cook has complained about the low number of women in the tech industry. In an exclusive interview with the BBC,  Cook said technology "will not achieve nearly what it could achieve" without a more diverse workforce. Apple has just launched its founders' development programme for female founder, app creators in the UK and Cook says he wants to bring more women to the tech table. "I think the the essence of technology and its effect on humanity depends upon women being at the table," Mr Cook says. "Technology's a great thing that will accomplish many things, but unless you have diverse views at the table that are working on it, you don't wind up with great solutions." Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church claims Russian soldiers who die in the war against Ukraine will be cleansed of all their sins, days after President Vladimir Putin ordered the country's first mobilisation since World War Two.   Patriarch Kirill is a key Putin ally and backer of the invasion. Openly gay British-Nigerian cleric, Jide Macaulay, has celebrated his second anniversary as an Anglican priest.    The cleric, who described himself as the "ordained homosexual that God loves" took to Instagram on Monday, September 26, to share his ''gruelling journey to priesthood; the trials, media attack, emotional, psychological abuse, racism and homophobia he faced for many years.''   "Today, I celebrate with thanksgiving my second anniversary to Anglican priesthood," he wrote.   Too often we wait on God in expectation. Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested a Ugandan woman who allegedly stabbed her co-wife to death.    The suspect, Sarah Namono, allegedly stabbed Grace Kibone several times in the head in Mathare slums, Nairobi on Friday, September 23, 2022.   Kibone was rushed to Medesins San Frontieres (MSF) Clinic along Juja road while bleeding profusely where she was pronounced dead on arrival.   The alleged murder was reported by a hospital worker and the deceased Kibone’s relative.  Namono is in custody at Pangani police station where the incident was reported for investigations.   Namono is accused of murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal code of their country.   Detective constable Issa Ali Haret of Starehe DCI offices obtained orders at Makadara Law Courts to detain the suspect until October 9, 2022.    In an affidavit filed before Senior Principal Magistrate Mary Njagi, ...

King Charles’ entire press office at Clarence House have reportedly been told their jobs are at risk as a result of his move to Buckingham Palace.   According to Mail Online, they are among up to 100 distraught staff including those in research and finance sent letters in the past few days warning them of redundancy as a result of the former Prince of Wales’s accession to the throne.   The report said that they have previously been told that only a process of consultation would legally have to begin as a result of the Queen’s death.   Now dozens have been specifically told their jobs are under threat as the process of merging the King’s former household at Clarence House with the existing team at Buckingham Palace begins.   The move has left many employees, some of whom have worked for the royals for several decades, upset and concerned.   Palace sources said the potential redundancies were ‘sadly inevitable’ as a...
