Giorgia Meloni is now Italy’s first female prime minister, after winning elections on Sunday September 25. The country's national election was triggered by party infighting that saw the collapse of Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s government in July.   Voters headed to the polls amid a number of new regulations, with voting hours also contained to one day rather than two. A group of friends allegedly gang-raped a 12-year-old boy in a sickening attack that also saw them insert a rod into his genitals. The attack reportedly took place in the Seelampur region of Delhi in India and resulted in the child being hospitalized and in a critical condition. An account of the incident was given to the Delhi Commission of Women by the mother of the boy, who claimed he had been brutally "sexually assaulted" by the four men, who have also been described as his friends.     In the statement, she revealed that the gang beat her son with bricks and rods. Ukrainians who help Russia in its referendums to annex large swathes of Ukraine will face treason charges and at least five years in jail, Ukraine's presidential adviser said, as voting in four regions entered its last day.   Moscow hopes to annex the provinces of Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, in the east and south, which make up about 15 percent of Ukraine.   None of the provinces are fully under Moscow's control and fighting has been under way along the entire front line, with Ukrainian forces reporting more advances since they routed Russian troops in a fifth province, Kharkiv, earlier this month.     Russian President Vladimir Putin  issued a veiled threat to use nuclear weapons to protect Russian soil, which would include the four provinces if annexed.   Voting on whether to join Russia began on Friday in the regions and is due to end on Tuesday, with the Russian parliament possibly approving the annexation within days...

Basketball Wives  star, Brooke Bailey is mourning the loss of her daughter, Kayla Bailey.   Brooke, 45, paid tribute to her daughter Kayla, 25, in a heartfelt Instagram post along with a series of photographs.   'Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey. This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon,' Brooke wrote on Instagram.     Reports claimed Kayla's cause of death is injuries from a car accident but it is unconfirmed.  The reality TV star mourned her daughter in a series of Instagram stories and shared multiple tributes. Five people in the Philippines have been killed in a typhoon that has left homes flooded and millions without electricity. According to Reuters, five rescue workers were washed away in flash floods while carrying out operations in the district of San Miguel, north of the capital Manila.  The district has been hit hard by Typhoon Noru, with some residents seen stranded on their roofs, while others walked through chest-high waters, attempting to pass on supplies.     The typhoon caused gusts of up to 240km/h (149mph) on Luzon, where more than half of the country's 110 million population live.   Noru, first made landfall as a super typhoon, but later weakened on Sunday, September 25.
