Former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata has completed a one-year deal to Turkish giants Galatasaray.   The midfielder left Old Trafford in the summer window after eight-and-a-half years at the club, but United wanted to keep hold of the Spaniard and ease him into an administrative role at the club.  The Red Devils were prepared to offer Mata one more playing contract but he rejected the contract as he wanted to play regularly.   Despite his move to Turkey, Manchester United are reportedly hopeful Mata could return to the club in the future and believe he has potential as a technical director when he retires.   Expressing his delight after joining the Turkish club, Mata said:”I feel so good. The Premier League and the Football Association have postponed all matches this weekend following the death of Queen Elizabeth.    The Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) held a call with all major sports at 9.30am to determine the plan of action for the rest of this weekend's calendar and left the decision over events up to the individual organisations.    However, the Premier League and EFL released a statement saying they had made the decision to postpone this weekend's fixtures to honour Queen Elizabeth's 'extraordinary life and contribution to the nation'.   The Premier League released the following statement: 'At a meeting, this morning [Friday], Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.   'To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend's Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening's game.'...

Police in Giyani, South Africa have called on community members to help by providing information that would lead to the arrest of a van driver and his crew over the death of a 16-year-old girl, Ntwanano Hlungwani. Ntwanano will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 10, at Mtititi (Alten) village on the outskirts of Malamulel.  According to police spokesperson, Constable Ridgewell Rikhotso, the deceased and another teenage girl were given a lift by the driver of a white loading van from Mtititi village to Mninginisi block 02 on the outskirts of Giyani on Saturday, September 3, 2022.  Rikhotso said that when the driver got to Mninginisi block 02, he passed the teenager's village driving at a higher speed.  The driver then turned onto D3910 Thomo -khakhala road and kept driving at a higher speed.    "The two victims decided to jump off and they were both injured. The Russian government has confirmed that President Vladimir Putin will not attend the Queen's state funeral amid the estranged relationship between Russia and the West.    A Kremlin spokesman said a decision will be made on who will represent Russia at the service which is expected to take place on September 19 at Westminster Abbey.  Yesterday, Putin paid tribute to the monarch despite the his aggression in Ukraine which has caused relations between Russia and Britain to plummet to their lowest levels since the Cold War.   The leader said: 'The most important events in the recent history of the United Kingdom are inextricably linked with the name of Her Majesty.   'For many decades, Elizabeth II rightfully enjoyed the love and respect of her subjects, as well as authority on the world stage.   'I wish you courage and perseverance in the face of this heavy, irreparable loss. TalkSPORT has announced Trevor Sinclair has been taken off air while it investigates his controversial tweet about the Queen following her death.   Trevor had tweeted following the Queen's death: "Racism was outlawed in England in the 60's & it's been allowed to thrive so why should black and brown mourn!!"   His tweet led to backlash and he was taken off air by talkSPORT.   The popular radio station posted a statement on Twitter, which read: "Trevor Sinclair will not be on air while we carry out a thorough investigation into the circumstances and timing of his tweet. While we respect the right of Trevor Sinclair to express his opinion on his personal twitter account, talkSPORT does not endorse the tweet."   The tweet by Trevor and his account have since been deleted.   Trevor's talkSPORT colleague Simon Jordan responded to the post as the tweet went viral. Kim Kardashian said that her children were part of the reasons she decided to pursue a career in law because they don't stand "as good of a chance" as white children if they were ever arrested.   Speaking to Hillary and Chelsea Clinton on their Apple TV+ series "Gutsy," Kardashian explained why she decided to pursue her law studies.
