  The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has said that the Federal government is willing to reach an agreement with the striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). Speaking to statehouse correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting today February 16, Adamu said he was surprised that the lecturers could decide to embark on industrial action when the Federal Government was addressing the issues they have raised. “ASUU, unfortunately, they have gone on strike and I am looking for them because all the issues are being addressed,” the minister stated while briefing reporters at the end of the Federal Executive Council meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.   An online influencer who claimed she was thrown out of the Vatican for being "too sexy" has now said she will stop being Catholic because of how she was treated. Juju Vieira, who is originally from Brazil, was on a trip to Saint Peter's Basilica at the heart of the holy city while in Rome on January 30, 2022. She wore a fitted dress and long boots for the visit.     She claims that while there she was told she was not dressed properly and asked to leave. Juju said: "I went to the Vatican like everyone else goes to take pictures. "A gentleman who worked there came close to me and said that the place was for prayers and that I was not dressed properly and invited me to leave, 'kicked' me out of the Vatican.  "I was embarrassed because there were other people there who heard this. Donald Trump is now back on social media with his new social media platform called Truth. According to a tweet from his son, Donald Jr., Trump shared his first post on his upcoming social media platform Truth Social, writing: 'Time for some Truth!!!' Trump's alleged post read: 'Get ready! Your favorite president will see you soon'     Truth Social is slated to launch Monday, February 21 according to its Apple App Store listing and the platform is almost an identical replica of Twitter, the social media platform that Trump was an avid user on before being suspended.       Echoing Donald Jr.'s claims, social media users claim that the beta version of Truth Social launched for some users, including the former president who has been testing the platform. Porto FC centre back, Pepe could be banned for up to two years after he kicked a Sporting Lisbon director during a brawl. On Friday, 11 February, Porto’s clash with Portuguese rivals Sporting ended in ugly scenes as four players were sent off after the game following a furious squabble involving Pepe.  n the brawl that involved 40 men, Joao Palhinha, Bruno Tabata and Marchesin all joined the former real madrid defender in being dismissed after the game ended 2-2.     But it is Pepe who may end up with the most severe punishment as reports from Portuguese newspaper A Bola allege the report from referee Joao Pinheiro states that Pepe kicked a Sporting director . Actor Yul Edochie has called for the release of incarcerated IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. In a post shared on his Twitter handle, Yul opined that there will always be agitation in Nigeria as it is a multi-tribal country. He opined that to keep the country united, agitations should be listened to and resolved peacefully.   His post reads;   ''Release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and call for dialogue. In a multi tribal country like Nigeria there'll always be agitation from different quarters. A 38-year-old woman, Charlene Naicker survived a brutal shooting by unknown gunmen which claimed the lives of her two children in Durban, South Africa.  The incident occurred at the family’s home in Welbedacht East, Chatsworth as mother and her six children prepared for supper last Friday.  This, however, was cut short as armed assailants opened fire on two-year-old Chalyn Faith Naicker, 14-year-old Ainslee Luke Naicker, and their mother. Charlene who is currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital does not know her youngest daughter and son, died following the shooting. Chazlyn, who was shot three times in the chest and once in the head, died en route to the hospital. Ainzlee, a Grade 7 pupil at the Durban School for the Hearing Impaired, was shot in the neck, head and hand. He died in hospital on Saturday morning. Aston Villa football club of England will reportedly make a move for Wilfred Ndidi in the summer with new manager Steven Gerrard looking to acquire a quality holding midfielder. Ndidi signed for Leicester City in 2017 and has been a key member of the team since then but reports by Daily Star say Aston Villa are considering making an offer in the region of £50million in the summer window for the Nigeria international.  Ndidi has two years remaining in his contract with Leicester City and would represent another good signing under Gerrard after signing Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne during the January transfer window. Ndidi was an integral part of the super eagles team that crashed out in the second round of the 2021 AFCON second round in January after picking up three wins from three games in the group stage.
