Jake Flint, a country music singer on the "Oklahoma Red Dirt" music scene, died in his sleep just hours after his wedding on Saturday, November 26. He was 37. Flint's publicist, Clif Doyal, told The Oklahoman that he passed in his sleep but didn't reveal an exact cause of death.   "He was not only a client, he was a dear friend and just a super nice guy," said Doyal. "As you can see from the outpouring on social media, he was loved by everybody. I think a lot of it was just that he was a people person, and he had an amazing sense of humor. A top Qatari official has said the number of workers who died while building World Cup stadiums for the ongoing tournament is 'between 400 and 500.'   Hassan al-Thawadi, secretary-general of Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, disclosed this during an interview.   British journalist Piers Morgan asked Mr al-Thawadi: 'What is the honest, realistic total do you think of migrant workers who died from… as a result of work they're doing for the World Cup in totality?'   Mr al-Thawadi replied: 'The estimate is around 400, between 400 and 500… I don't have the exact number. Cameroon Goalkeeper,  André Onana insists he put his ‘efforts and energy into finding solutions to a situation that a footballer often experiences’ but found ‘no will on the other side.’   Questions had been asked following Andre Onana's absence in the Cameroon Vs Serbia fixture at the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.  It was later revealed that the Cameroon international clashed with the team's coach Rigobert Song and was consequently left out of the team that played the Serbs. Die Hard and Top Gun star, Clarence Gilyard is dead after a long battle with ill health.    The actor who had a career that spanned 30 years, was best known for playing the computer hacker Theo in the hit movie Die Hard.     The actor who was born in Washington in 1955, enrolled at the US Air Force Academy before leaving after a year.    He also played football in Kansas before attending California State University in Long Beach where he signed up for an acting class.      Gilyard played the naval flight officer Marcus “Sundown” Williams in the 1986 film Top Gun. He also played Conrad McMasters, the right-hand man to the attorney Ben Matlock in the hit drama Matlock between 1989 and 1993.   Gilyard was also part of the cast in the 1990s crime series, Walker Texas Ranger.   Prior to his death, he was working as a theater professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Yemi Alade was robbed of her possession while visiting Abidjan,  Côte d'Ivoire.    The Nigerian singer performed at the Creative Africa Nexus last weekend.   She has now taken to Instagram to reveal that when she left her hotel room, "unknown people" got in, ransacked her belongings, and took all the money they could find.   See below.

Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court, Abuja has sentenced the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba to three months in prison for disobeying a court order, Vanguard reports.   Olajuwon issued the ruling on Tuesday, November 28, 2022, following a suit filed by Patrick Okoli, a former police officer who claims he was unlawfully and compulsorily retired from the Nigerian police force.   According to the affidavits in support of the suit, the applicant was forcefully retired in June 1992.   After challenging his forceful retirement, a Bauchi high court on February 19, 1994, delivered judgment in favour of the applicant and quashed the letter of compulsory retirement. Young cryptocurrency founder, Tiantian Kullander, has died suddenly at the age of just 30.   Tiantian Kullander, the co-founder of Hong Kong-based digital asset company Amber Group, died in his sleep on November 23.   The sad news was confirmed on the company’s website.   "He put his heart and soul into the company, in every stage of its growth. A bus on a school run has crashed and flipped over, leaving a 'number' of children in hospital with injuries in the UK.    Emergency services were called to the incident involving the overturned bus on the B3090 Oldford Hill on the outskirts of Frome, Somerset at around 3.30pm.  Wiltshire Air Ambulance was also spotted flying above the area after it was called to the scene following the crash.      Images shared online show the overturned bus with emergency services standing around and several police cars in the background.   An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: 'Emergency services have been called to an incident involving a bus near Frome this afternoon.  'Police received a call from a member of the public at approximately 3.35pm, that a bus had overturned on the B3090 Oldford Hill.    'A number of passengers, including schoolchildren, received minor injuries and were checked over by paramedics at the scene.  ...

The Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei has died at the age of 64, the country’s foreign ministry reported on Saturday, November 26. “Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, has suddenly passed away today,” the Foreign Ministry said in its official Facebook account, without providing  details about the circumstances surrounding the foreign minister’s death. Makei was born in 1958 in the Belarusian region of Grodno. He had been in the post since August 2012, according the foreign ministry’s website. Before his death, Makei was scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, according to Russian state media outlet RIA Novosti. Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a bumper three-year contract in Saudi Arabia.   The 37-year-old Portuguese star had his Manchester United contract terminated earlier this month after his controversial statements in a TV interview with Piers Morgan.   Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr have offered a contract worth £186million over three years to the iconic Portuguese striker, according to a report from CBS Sports.   The monstrous contract is said to be on the table in order to entice Ronaldo to make the switch to the Middle East, but the player is still evaluating the options available to him in Europe.  Al-Nassr are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having being crowned winners of the country's top flight nine times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2019.

A 22 year old Elderly dog has been recognized by Guinness book of records as the world’s oldest living dog. The dog's owner Alex Wolf, from Colorado, USA got him from a rescue shelter in 2002, over 20 years ago, but he was born two years earlier than this, on September 24, 2000.  Alex, who is now aged 40, says he got him when he was in university in California.   Speaking to Today, Alex said; ‘He’s been there every step of the way. ‘I’m so glad we got him. He’s the best. ‘If we were having a later night, he would stay up, and if I was sleeping in, he would sleep in.   Republicans have won majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, setting the stage for two years of divided government as President Joe Biden's Democratic Party held control of the Senate. Blueface found himself standing before the judge on Wednesday November 16, as he was arraigned and had bail set for an alleged attempted murder.   The American rapper had bail set at $50,000 which the judge expects Blueface to clear with no issue. Google has agreed to pay $391.5 million to settle with 40 US states for misleading users about the collection of personal location data, making it the largest attorney general-led consumer privacy settlement ever, according to the US Department of Justice.   Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, who led the settlement along with Nebraska AG Doug Peterson, pointed out on Tuesday, November 15, that for years Google has prioritized profit over their users’ privacy. “Google misled its users into thinking they had turned off location tracking in their account settings, when, in fact, Google continued to collect their location information. Blueface has been arrested for attempted murder.   The American rapper and his girlfriend Chrisean Rock were sitting on a bench looking at their phones on Tuesday, Nov. 15, when a swarm of undercover officers ran over and grabbed him before throwing him against a wall.   He was handcuffed outside Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles in Vegas in what appears to have been an undercover operation.   He has been charged with felony attempted murder with the use of a deadly firearm or tear gas, according to legal documents connected to the warrant, TMZ reports.     He's facing an additional charge of discharging a gun into a house, building, vehicle or craft.   The incident that got Blueface arrested occurred on October 8th.

The Democratic party of the United States have secured control of the  Senate, giving Joe Biden a mid-term boost as he heads into the final two years of his first term as president. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a businesswoman, Okefun Darlington Chisom over her links with two Pakistani nationals arrested with cocaine at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos.
