A suspect linked to the murder of rapper PnB Rock has been identified by the police.  LAPD gave the name of the suspect as Freddie Lee Trone on Monday morning, adding that he is considered "armed and dangerous." Freddie who is accused of killing the rapper as he sat in a Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles, fled with several gold and diamond chains the Philly MC was wearing as he ate lunch with his girlfriend.     Though the police are yet to disclose if he's the only one linked to the case, the LAPD had earlier said there was a getaway car waiting outside the L.A. restaurant after PnB was shot and killed. Police are urging the public to contact 911 if you see Trone or have any info on his whereabouts.

Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi III, is dead. According to information from the palace, Maigari who is the chairman of the Lokoja traditional council, died at 80 on Wednesday evening, September 28, after a brief illness at a private hospital in Abuja.   A statement issued on Wednesday night by the Secretary of Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council, Muhammed Nalado Usman, said the monarch will be buried in Lokoja on Thursday, September 29, by 3 pm.   Until his death, the monarch is said to have been one of the longest-serving traditional rulers in Kogi State, having ascended the throne in 1992.  He was also one of the country’s foremost and highly respected traditional rulers.

American rapper, Coolio, known for the iconic hit Gangsta's Paradise, has died at the age of 59.   The rapper’s longtime manager Jarel Posey confirmed the news saying that Coolio died around 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday afternoon, September 28.   According to TMZ, Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. was found dead at a friend’s house.   Coolio's longtime manager,  Jarez , said Coolio went to the bathroom at his friend's house, but when he didn't come out after a while, the friend kept calling for him, and eventually went in and found Coolio laying on the floor.   Law enforcement sources told the publication that paramedics were called to the house in Los Angeles around 4 PM for a medical emergency and when they got there they pronounced Coolio dead.   Jarez also said the paramedics suspect he suffered cardiac arrest. Rupa Huq, a Labour MP has been suspended for making ‘racist comments’ about UK’s first black Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng.   Huq had claimed that Kwasi was “superficially black” at a party conference panel event titled “what’s next for Labour’s Agenda on Race?”   She said;    “Superficially (Mr Kwarteng) is a black man….if you hear him on the Today programme, you wouldn’t know he’s black.”   The MP shockingly went on to refer to former Chancellor Rishi Sunak as a "little brown guy". She also accused Nigerian-born Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch and Home Secretary Suella Braverman of having been "superficial" candidates in the Tory leadership contest this year.   Huq added;    "Ok, superficially they’ve had four brown Chancellors and that. Maroon 5's lead singer, Adam Levine and his pregnant wife Behati Prinsloo are presenting a united front after his cheating scandal made headlines. The couple were photographed hopping on a jet to Sin City together. They took a private jet from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas on Tuesday September 27, for an apparent couples getaway.   Adam and Behati didn't appear to be in turmoil over the cheating scandal which has seen five women come forward this month, claiming to have engaged in various stages of DM conversations with him, with one of them claiming to have been physical with him.      The singer has however denied all the allegations. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been promoted to be the country's Prime Minister by his father King Salman.   Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, known as MBS, has become the kingdom's prime minister, a royal decree said on Tuesday September 27.   Saudi King Salman ordered the cabinet reshuffle, giving his son the post which was traditionally held by the king.   MBS was previously serving as deputy prime minister under King Salman as well as defence minister.  He is now being replaced as defence minister by his younger brother, Khalid bin Salman, who was previously deputy defence minister.  Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman remained Saudi Arabia's energy minister under a new cabinet headed by the kingdom's crown prince and de facto ruler Prince Mohammed bin Salman.    The foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the finance minister Mohammed al-Jadaanand and the investment minister Khalid al-Falih kept their positions in the n...

  Minnesota Timberwolves guard,  Anthony Edwards has apologized for his use of homophobic language in an Instagram video shared earlier this month during  NBA media day.    The guard took to social media to post the clip from his car, in which he zooms in on a group of shirtless men on the sidewalk.   Edwards can be heard saying in the clip; 'Look at these queer a** n****s, man. Apple chief executive, Tim Cook has complained about the low number of women in the tech industry. In an exclusive interview with the BBC,  Cook said technology "will not achieve nearly what it could achieve" without a more diverse workforce. Apple has just launched its founders' development programme for female founder, app creators in the UK and Cook says he wants to bring more women to the tech table. "I think the the essence of technology and its effect on humanity depends upon women being at the table," Mr Cook says. "Technology's a great thing that will accomplish many things, but unless you have diverse views at the table that are working on it, you don't wind up with great solutions." Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church claims Russian soldiers who die in the war against Ukraine will be cleansed of all their sins, days after President Vladimir Putin ordered the country's first mobilisation since World War Two.   Patriarch Kirill is a key Putin ally and backer of the invasion. Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested a Ugandan woman who allegedly stabbed her co-wife to death.    The suspect, Sarah Namono, allegedly stabbed Grace Kibone several times in the head in Mathare slums, Nairobi on Friday, September 23, 2022.   Kibone was rushed to Medesins San Frontieres (MSF) Clinic along Juja road while bleeding profusely where she was pronounced dead on arrival.   The alleged murder was reported by a hospital worker and the deceased Kibone’s relative.  Namono is in custody at Pangani police station where the incident was reported for investigations.   Namono is accused of murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal code of their country.   Detective constable Issa Ali Haret of Starehe DCI offices obtained orders at Makadara Law Courts to detain the suspect until October 9, 2022.    In an affidavit filed before Senior Principal Magistrate Mary Njagi, ...

King Charles’ entire press office at Clarence House have reportedly been told their jobs are at risk as a result of his move to Buckingham Palace.   According to Mail Online, they are among up to 100 distraught staff including those in research and finance sent letters in the past few days warning them of redundancy as a result of the former Prince of Wales’s accession to the throne.   The report said that they have previously been told that only a process of consultation would legally have to begin as a result of the Queen’s death.   Now dozens have been specifically told their jobs are under threat as the process of merging the King’s former household at Clarence House with the existing team at Buckingham Palace begins.   The move has left many employees, some of whom have worked for the royals for several decades, upset and concerned.   Palace sources said the potential redundancies were ‘sadly inevitable’ as a...

A group of friends allegedly gang-raped a 12-year-old boy in a sickening attack that also saw them insert a rod into his genitals. The attack reportedly took place in the Seelampur region of Delhi in India and resulted in the child being hospitalized and in a critical condition. An account of the incident was given to the Delhi Commission of Women by the mother of the boy, who claimed he had been brutally "sexually assaulted" by the four men, who have also been described as his friends.     In the statement, she revealed that the gang beat her son with bricks and rods. Ukrainians who help Russia in its referendums to annex large swathes of Ukraine will face treason charges and at least five years in jail, Ukraine's presidential adviser said, as voting in four regions entered its last day.   Moscow hopes to annex the provinces of Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, in the east and south, which make up about 15 percent of Ukraine.   None of the provinces are fully under Moscow's control and fighting has been under way along the entire front line, with Ukrainian forces reporting more advances since they routed Russian troops in a fifth province, Kharkiv, earlier this month.     Russian President Vladimir Putin  issued a veiled threat to use nuclear weapons to protect Russian soil, which would include the four provinces if annexed.   Voting on whether to join Russia began on Friday in the regions and is due to end on Tuesday, with the Russian parliament possibly approving the annexation within days...

Five people in the Philippines have been killed in a typhoon that has left homes flooded and millions without electricity. According to Reuters, five rescue workers were washed away in flash floods while carrying out operations in the district of San Miguel, north of the capital Manila.  The district has been hit hard by Typhoon Noru, with some residents seen stranded on their roofs, while others walked through chest-high waters, attempting to pass on supplies.     The typhoon caused gusts of up to 240km/h (149mph) on Luzon, where more than half of the country's 110 million population live.   Noru, first made landfall as a super typhoon, but later weakened on Sunday, September 25.
