The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revealed that electronic transactions in Nigeria increased by 66 per cent year-on-year to N330 trillion in December 2021 from N198.61 trillion at the end of 2020. Two Iowa teenagers accused of killing their Spanish teacher will be tried as adults. A judge rejected their requests to move their cases to juvenile court this week. Jeremy Goodale and Willard Miller will each face a first-degree murder charge for allegedly beating to death Fairfield High School teacher Noheme Graber, 66, on Nov. 2, 2021, when both suspects were 16 years old.   Willard Miller   District Judge Shawn Showers rejected Goodale’s and Miller’s requests separately on Wednesday, May 11, and Thursday, May 12, respectively, NYPost reports.   The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has died. He died today May 13 at the age of 73.   “The Ministry of Presidential Affairs condoles the people of the UAE, the Arab and Islamic nation and the world over the demise of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE,” a statement released by the state news agency, WAM, reads   Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan served as the president of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi since 3 November 2004. He was elected to succeed his father, the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who served as the UAE’s first president since the union in 1971 until he passed away on 2 November 2004. Born in 1948, Sheikh Khalifa was the second President of the UAE and the 16th Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He was the eldest son of Sheikh Zayed. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
