  A judge on Tuesday again, November 10, refused to let British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell trade a jail cell for home detention, citing previous rulings that the nature of charges alleging Maxwell recruited teenage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse and her ability to flee make it impossible to let her out. It was the fourth time that U.S. District Judge Alison J. Nathan has rejected a bail application for Maxwell, 59. Previous applications were also twice rejected by a Manhattan federal appeals court.   Nathan made the rejection in a two-page order in which she also promised that Maxwell will be transported from her Brooklyn federal jail to her trial “in a way that is humane, proper, and consistent with security protocols.” The judge said lawyers for the Metropolitan Detention Center assured these protocols in a sealed letter.   One of Maxwell’s lawyers complained that she was brought to the courthouse last week for a hearing nearly six hour...

John Fury, father to WBC Heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, has revealed that his son wasn't fully fit before his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder in October. According to John, a former boxer himself,  Tyson was carrying serious injuries into the fight, had just three-and-a-half weeks of full training and after the fight had to undergo a six-hour surgery on his elbows .     Tyson also known as the Gypsy King ended his long-term rivalry with Wilder in ruthless fashion, surviving two heavy knockdowns before knocking out the American in the 11th round of their fight.   Fury, who made the first defence of his WBC belt with the victory, once again abandoned his more customary box-and-move style, instead taking the fight to Wilder.   Wilder received praise for his courageous performance to keep fighting despite falling to a second successive defeat, but John Fury insists the American was simply up against a totally unfit opponent....

An original Apple computer built by firm co-founders Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs in 1976 has fetched $400,000 (£294,990) at auction in the US. The rare Hawaiian koa wood-cased Apple-1 - still functioning - is one of only 200 made and sold in kit form.The koa wood case of the auctioned model was added by a pioneering early computer retailer, ByteShop, in California, which took delivery of around 50 of the Apple-1 machines.     The computer has only had two owners, a college professor and his student to whom he sold the machine for $650, said John Moran Auctioneers in California. The sale included user manuals and Apple software on two cassette tapes.  "This is kind of the holy grail for vintage electronics and computer tech collectors," Apple-1 expert Corey Cohen told the Los Angeles Times ahead of Tuesday's auction in the city of Monrovia, near Los Angeles. Investigators are looking into whether a bad batch of illegal drugs laced with fentanyl might have played a role in the deadly concert surge at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival.  This comes after it was revealed that multiple unconscious concertgoers were revived with the overdose-reversing drug naloxone.  Eight people died, all between the ages of 14 and 24, and hundreds more were injured in the crowd on Friday in Houston, Texas after a sizable group of the 50,000 in attendance pushed toward the stage at NRG Park as a timer clicked down to the start of the performance.    Police are still trying to determine whether any of the deaths occurred during the surge or if other factors later came into play, such as accidental fatal overdoses, a source close to the investigation told the Wall Street Journal.    'There are potential scenarios that are being looked into, including malicious attacks and laced pills,'...

American rapper, G-Eazy has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct following a brawl which ensued at at the Boom Boom Room during Fashion Week in September.   The rapper who was ordered to complete three Manhattan Justice Opportunities sessions (The program, created last year, is described by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as a “sentencing alternative for misdemeanor and select felony cases"), was originally charged with misdemeanor assault after being arrested following the Boom Boom Room brawl that left one person in stitches.   Page Six had reported that G-Eazy's crew clashed with another group at the Standard hotel’s swanky club. The Duke of Sussex has revealed he warned Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey his platform was allowing a coup to be staged against the US a day before the January 6 riots. Prince Harry continued his feud with the media during an appearance on a panel discussing misinformation. “I learned from a very early age that the incentives of publishing are not necessarily aligned with the incentives of truth,” he said. A 10-year-old girl, Isabella Faith Tichenor has hanged herself after being bullied in school over her race and being autistic.  While her mother, Brittany said she was picked on by other children as she had autism and dyslexia, her grandad Gregory stated that racism was also involved. Brittany revealed that the abuse was reported to the school in North Salt Lake, Utah, but nothing was done to protect her daughter. She said;    “As any parent would, we reported this abuse to her teachers, the school administration, and the district administration, she told a press conference. “Nothing, nothing was done to protect Izzy. Children did not have their behaviour corrected so the torment of this child continued day after day. “You really wouldn’t have known she was going through that. “So that was the hardest part. A young woman who fell sick shortly after graduating from the Benue State University has passed away.  Msugh Ngodoo Vera had taken to Facebook on May 28, 2021, to ceberate her graduation and also shared her completed project. The post was her last update.  "God only you can do what seems to be impossible. Finally finally finally I am a graduate. Bsc. Library and information science (Hons). First degree done and dusted. NYSC here I come." she wrote.      According to reports, Vera died in the early hours of Wednesday, November 10, from an undisclosed illness that affected her skin.     Meanwhile, friends and former classmates have taken to Facebook to mourn her. Former governor of the Central Bank and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chukwuma Soludo, has been declared winner of the Anambra governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.   The Returning Officer of the Anambra governorship election, Prof Florence Obi, declared him the winner at the Anambra INEC office in Awka, the state capital this morning, November 10.   According to Obi, Soludo polled a total of 112,229 votes to beat his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, who polled 53,807 votes, and Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress who polled a total of 43,285 votes. Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressive Party who polled 21,261 votes came fourth.
