Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 30 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation at Kwara State University, KWASU, Malete. Spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Monday said the suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud activities. “Part of the intelligence indicated that suspected internet fraudsters were operating in campuses around Ilorin metropolis to swindle unsuspecting victims of their hard-earned income.   “Based on the intelligence, and weeks of surveillance, operatives of the Commission on September 19, 2021 executed a search warrant in hostels within the KWASU campus, where a number of arrests were made,” he said. Ex-rugby league player,  Liam Walsh has been confirmed as the 23-year-old man who died after being hit by a car. Walsh was involved in a collision late on Saturday night and was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries, but medics were unable to save him.A Cheshire Police statement read: "Sadly, despite the best efforts of all those involved, he passed away a short time later. His next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers. "The driver of the car was uninjured. "Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time. Social media giant, Instagram has said that alleged Nigerian fraudster Hushpuppi can continue using his account.  Recall that Hushpuppi who lived a life of luxury in Dubai, always flaunted his expensive lifestyle on his Instagram account. He notably shared photos of extravagant shopping trips, luxury cars, clothes, and watches on the platform.  Instagram which responded to an inquiry by Dubai-based The National, said the Nigerian fraudster is free to continue using his social media account as he did not violate the social media platform’s laws. The social media giant said it has well-established processes with law enforcement and a policy on “inmate takedown requests” in place for prisoners active on social media. Two students have been injured in a shooting at a high school in Virginia, according to police. The shooting broke out around noon at Heritage High School in Newport News on Monday, September 20.   Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew said the two teenagers who were shot, both 17 years old, were not believed to be in life-threatening condition.     A boy was shot in the side of his face and a girl was shot in the lower leg, Drew said.  Students were being sent to outdoor tennis courts on the school grounds as police officers entered a building, according to WAVY-TV.     As part of the effort to evacuate students, parents were told to pick up their children at the tennis courts.     The Achievable Dream Academy nearby was also placed on lockdown, according to the TV station.

Two Japanese sisters, Umeno Sumiyama and Koume Kodama have been certified by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest living identical twins at over 107 years and 300 days. They broke the record previously set by late Japanese twin sisters Kin Narita and Gin Kanie.     Previous record holders Kin and Gin had held the title of oldest identical twins at 107 years and 175 days since Kin's death in January 2000. Gin died the following year, aged 108. The late twins, whose names mean gold and silver in Japanese, were born on 1 August 1892 in Nagoya, and had become media celebrities in their final decade. Umeno and Koume, both described as sociable people, were born on 5 November 1913 on Shodoshima island.     The announcement of their feat was made on Monday, September 20 to coincide with Respect for the Aged Day - a national holiday in Japan.
