World football body, FIFA, has confirmed that the maiden Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament scheduled to take place from September 15 to 21 will be used for ranking of participating teams. This was made known in a letter dated September 6 and sent to the Director of Organisation, ABC, Aisha Falode, and signed by Sara Booth, Head of Competitions (Women’s Football Division). The letter read, “We are working very closely with CAF on this particular topic as we want to make sure that all African teams that are playing friendly matches are eligible for ranking points.”   FIFA has also given the Local Organising Committee authorisation to stage the one-week tournament, which holds at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena and Agege Stadium in Lagos. Brazilian football legend Pele remains in intensive care but is making a satisfactory recovery after undergoing surgery for a suspected colon tumour, his doctors said on Friday. Pele’s medical team at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo said in a statement that he was “actively conversing and displaying vital signs within normal range.” Pele, 80, took to Instagram to reassure his fans.   “My friends, with each passing day I feel a little better. I’m looking forward to playing again, but I’m still going to recover for a few more days,” he said. “While I’m here, I take the opportunity to talk a lot with my family and to rest. US rapper, Dan Sur, is bragging about being the first person to have gold chains as hair after he surgically implanted them into his scalp. The reggaeton rapper and producer, 23, has been showing off his bizarre new headpiece to his near two million followers on social media.     MTO News reports the artist installed loads of hooks all over his noggin so that he could attach the chains. "The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. Unknown gunmen have killed the former traditional ruler of Nkpunado Aguleri in Anambra East local government, Alex Edozieuno, (Mkpunando) and his driver.  It was gathered that the 62-year-old former monarch and his driver identified as Chukwuemeka, were ambushed and killed at Otuocha in the Anambra East Local Government Area of the state on Friday, September 10. Edozieuno was deposed last year after he along with eleven other traditional rulers and oil magnate, Prince Arthur Eze, visited President Buhari, without authorisation by the state government. Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the incident said that the Commissioner of Police, Tony Olofu, has ordered investigation on the matter. A 31-year-old Nigerian woman, Amenze Rita, has allegedly been shot dead by her husband in Italy.  Amenze was killed in front of her colleagues in the parking lot of Mf Mushroom, a company where she worked on Friday morning, September 10, in Noventa Vicentina.  It was gathered that the suspect, Pierangelo Pellizzar, 61, laid an ambush for the deeased at about 7:30am and shot her four times, killing her instantly.  After killing Amenze, he reportedly escaped from the crime scene aboard a grey Cherokee Jeep which was later found abandoned at his brother's house. However, the carabinieri are currently on hunt for the suspect, who is said to armed and dangerous.  Italian media are reporting that Amenze was killed because she filed for a divorce after she returned from Nigeria a week ago. It was further gathered that late Amenze arrived in Italy in 2017 through Libya and got married to an Italian man in 2018....
