A woman has demanded compensation from health authorities in northern Spain after discovering she was mistakenly swapped at birth with another baby 19 years ago, local reports say. The woman was mixed up with a baby who was born on the same day in 2002 at a hospital in Logroño, south of Bilbao. Both babies were put in incubators before being handed to the wrong parents. A regional government has acknowledged the mix-up, blaming “human error”. On Tuesday the health minister for the government of La Rioja, Sara Alba, said it was not possible to conclude who had made the mistake. She said it would “be impossible for something like this to happen again today” because procedures for identifying babies were “safe and reliable”. The case was first reported by the La Rioja newspaper, which said one of the women is seeking €3m (£2.4m; $3.5m) in damages from the region’s ministry of health. Former presidential media aide and social media commentator, Reno Omokri has called on Imo state indigenes not to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari to the state on Thursday. According to him, any Igbo who turns up to welcome Buhari to Imo State should be marked. The former aide in a tweet said such a person should be made a political pariah forever in the state.   Omokri reminded the people of Imo State of Buhari’s remark on five percent and the Southeast being a circle in a dot. According to Omokri: “Any Igbo that turns up to welcome Buhari to Imo on Thursday should be marked. Buhari won’t be in power forever. “Don’t hurt or use violence on such a person. But make him a political pariah forever. Never forget what Buhari said about 5 percent and circle in a dot!”

Caitlyn Jenner has said that though she is all for "a woman's right to choose", she also supports Texas' new, restrictive abortion law and the state's right to adopt it.  Texas passed a law that bans abortion after six weeks. Reproductive rights activists have slammed the law, saying it is an attempt to get around  Roe v. Wade,  the Supreme Court ruling that mandates abortion rights in the United States. The law was signed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and went into effect last Wednesday. It's one of the strictest abortion measures in the U.S., applying to cases of rape and incest and only making an exception for medical emergencies. The new law makes it illegal for an abortion to be conducted once a fetal heartbeat has been detected, and allows citizens to bring legal actions against doctors and other businesses that help achieve the abortion.
