Rapper, Drake has joined the likes of Kanye West and Rihanna to create his own footwear. The 'God's plan' rapper will soon be using his very own Air Force 1s as he has teamed up with Nike for a special Certified Lover Boy collaboration.  The all-white leather kicks appear to look like a standard pair of AF1 Lows, but upon close examination one will notice small hearts towards the front of the shoe in place of the traditional textured stars.    “Love you forever” is written in cursive on the lateral heel instead of the customary “Air” branding. It’s unclear when the Certified Lover Boy sneakers will be launching, but the release could coincide with Drake’s long-awaited sixth studio album, which is nearing completion.  He recently said the project is being mixed and will drop before the end of summer. World’s richest man Jeff Bezos returned to Earth Tuesday after his 10-minute flight to space to announce a gift of $100 million each to CNN political contributor Van Jones and chef José Andrés. “They can give all to their own charity or they can share their wealth. It’s all up to them,” Bezos said, as he announced what he called the Courage and Civility Award. He said the award “recognizes leaders who aim high and who pursue solutions with courage and who always do so with civility.” Recipients receive $100 million to give away to charities or non-profits of their choice, and Bezos said awardees may direct all the funds to their own non-profits or “spread the wealth” to other organizations. Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),  Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu has announced that there are 59 suspected cases of Monkeypox with 15 confirmed in the country.  Ihekweazu who disclosed this while reacting to report of a United States resident testing positive for the disease after arriving the North-American country from Nigeria, said an outbreak would be declared when there are large cluster of monkeypox cases that constituted an emergency. Revealing that the NCDC have been working with state health ministries to strengthen monkeypox disease surveillance and response in the country, Ihekweazu also disclosed that states with the highest number of cases are Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Lagos. The Imo State Police Command has smashed a notorious kidnapping syndicate that has been terrorizing the state lately.   According to the state police spokesperson, Michael Abattam, on July 3, a Nigerian lady, Cornelia Oluebube of Amakohia in Owerri North LGA of Imo State, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen and taken to an unknown destination.  The Imo state command's tactical teams, on receipt of the report, swung into action.   ''After gathering technical intelligence which led them to Delta State where the following suspects were arrested viz; Terry's Mez "M" age 31 years of Aguleri in Anambra State, Willine Ebefal "M"age 21 years of Ogbokuno in Burutu LGA of Delta State,  Obasanjo Kimakia " M" age 20 years of Tamime in Burutu LGA of Delta State. Mali’s interim President, Assimi Goita on Tuesday July 20, survived an assassination attempt, while offering Eid al-Adha prayers at the Grand Mosque in the capital, Bamako.  Religious Affairs Minister, Mamadou Kone told AFP that a man had "tried to kill the president with a knife" but was apprehended. The attack happened as an imam was directing worshippers outside the mosque for a ritual animal sacrifice. Goita was whisked away according to an AFP news agency journalist who also said he saw blood at the scene, though it was not clear who had been wounded. Later on Tuesday, Goita announced that he was doing “very well” following the attack. Bitcoin dropped below the $30,000-mark for the first time since June 22, wiping around $90 billion from the entire cryptocurrency market in 24 hours on Tuesday, according to data from CoinMarketCap.com. Other leading coins were also dragged down. Ethereum declined from $1,824 to $1,730, while Binance Coin dropped from $299 to $261, and XRP declined from 58 cents to 52 cents. Bitcoin was trading at $29,400 at the time of filing this report. “Though Bitcoin prices were range-bound between $31,000 and $35,000 for the past four weeks, this is the second time in 2021 that it has dropped down below the $30,000 level. Nigerian midfielder, Frank Onyeka has joined Premier League newcomers Brentford as their first signing of the summer. The 23-year-old joins from FC Midlland for an undisclosed fee. A teenager has been arrested after his father reported to Brazilian police that he suspected the young man had murdered his girlfriend. Paulo Eduardo Scravonatto, aged 19, was taken in by police after his dad, whose identity was not released, suspected he killed Joana Fabris Deon, also 19, in the city of Bento Goncalves located in the Brasilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.     Local media reported the murder of Joana happened on Saturday, July, 17, after which Scravonatto had called his father claiming that Joana was wounded and needed to be quickly rushed to a doctor. The teen claimed Joana was shot by brutal street thugs after she stood up against them when they tried to rob her.     Scravonatto and his father took the injured girlfriend to the nearby Tacchini Hospital, where she soon died from her injuries, whilst the 19-year-old man was released after telling his version of the story to the cops.
