Bovi has called out Nollywood actor Niyi Akinmolayan, describing him as a clout chaser for promoting his movie after he deliberately refused to identify with the project since it came out. Recall the comedian/actor recently released his comedy movie, 'My Village People' which was directed by Akinmolayan. But in a lengthy post on Saturday, Bovi accused the director of attempting to shut down his set during their shoot following a disagreement about the movie script.  After the said disagreement, Bovi claimed the approach to making the movie became 'lame' and 'deliberately mediocre.' He went on to explain how he was told to ignore Akinmolayan and focus on completing the project.  The comedian also slammed Akinmolayan for just coming out to identify with the movie because the project is doing 'favorably well.'  

Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has said that he withdrew his son, Abubakar, from a public school in the state because bandits were targeting him for abduction.  The governor had in September 2019 enrolled Abubakar into the Kaduna Capital School which is a public school in the state. He had said that  his decision to send Abubakar to a public school was a way of showing his commitment to fixing public education and raising the standards. However, during an interview with BBC Pidgin on Thursday, Governor El-Rufai said he has ''temporarily'' withdrawn Abubakar and one of his daughters who he had also enrolled in the school when she clocked six years old. He said their withdrawal from the school occurred on the advice of security agencies after they received intel that the children were being targeted by bandits. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel for the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) has alleged that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the group, was arrested by the Kenyan Government before he was handed over to the Department of State Services. Kanu, who is being prosecuted on charges of treasonable felony, was rearrested after jumping bail and repatriated to Nigeria last Sunday, June 27. Kenya has denied involvement in Kanu’s arrest after receiving threats from IPOB. The Kenyan High Commissioner to Nigeria,  Amb. Wilfred Machage, denied his country was involved in Kanu's  and admonished Nigerians to ask the Federal Government how the IPOB leader was apprehended.    On Friday night, July 2, Kanu's lawyer, Ejiofor took to social media to refute the Ambassador's claim after he was allowed to visit Kanu in Prison. A female California corrections officer has been jailed for reportedly having sex with an inmate in full view of 11 other inmates.  Tina Gonzalez, 26, who worked as a Fresno County corrections officer since 2016 was arrested in May 2020 following an investigation into her conduct. The Sheriff's Office was reportedly given a tip-off that an inmate had been having sex with a correctional officer and that she had smuggled in a phone. The investigation also revealed that alongside the phone, Gonzalez had smuggled in razors, which could have been used as weapons. It was also revealed that she cut a hole in her uniform pants to make it easier to have sex in Fresno County Jail, according to The Fresno Bee.
