According to the actress, her father at the time said there wasn't any need to spend so much money on a girl child and insisted that only his male children will get educated. Watford have reached an agreement with Club Brugge over the transfer of Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis. The Premier League side say they are finalising personal terms with the 23-year-old. A Watford statement read: "An agreement with Club Brugge has been reached for the transfer of exciting young forward Emmanuel Dennis, Watford FC is delighted to confirm. Men of the Kaduna State police command have neutralized one bandit and foiled attempted kidnap of an Indian expatriate at Dankande area of Igabi council. Disclosing this to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, said its men also recovered four fully loaded AK47 magazines.   ''On the 21st June 2021 at about 2133hrs, while escorting an expatriate to Plan Farm Phase at Dankande area of Igabi council, our men ran into an ambush laid by suspected armed bandits who in their desperate attempt to Kidnap the expatriate, shot berserkly at the Officers which however was met with stiffer resistance from the operatives.”   According to PPRO of the command, the gun duel lasted for some time but the Operatives were able to repel the bandits and secure the Indian expatriate unhurt.   The federal government has been restrained by the ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja from prosecuting Twitter users. Recall that Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami had threatened to prosecute those violating FG's ban on Twitter's operation in Nigeria through the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) had also ordered all radio and television stations to deactivate their Twitter accounts.  Following the ban and subsequent threat of prosecution, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and 176 concerned Nigerians challenged the decision before the ECOWAS Court.  Ruling on the case after hearing arguments from Solicitor to SERAP, Femi Falana SAN, and lawyer to the government, Maimuna Shiru, the court restrained the Federal government from unlawfully imposing sanctions or harass, intimidate, arrest or prosecute Twitter and/or any other social media service...

A brown bear has eaten and killed a 16-year-old boy at a Russian national park . The bear attacked the boy at the Ergaki National Park in the Sayan Mountains before it was stabbed in the neck with a penknife by a tourist who was also attacked by the predator.   The beast half ate the teenager, floored the tourist and lunged at another when they went in search of the missing boy.     The bear acted as if it was dead after being stabbed before it was later shot and killed.     When the tourist stabbed the bear with the pocket knife, his companion then fled back to camp where they raised an alarm.     Inspectors at the Park then rushed to the scene where they found the bear lying on the devoured remains of the teenager over 500 yards. Chris Brown is reportedly being investigated by police over an allegation of battery following a woman's claimed  that he hit her. The American singer and father of two was named the suspect in the battery case after police officers responded to his home in the San Fernando Valley, California over the weekend. Law enforcement sources told TMZ.com the woman claimed Brown smacked her on the back of the head so hard that it made part of her weave come out. Police took a battery report following the alleged incident, which may see Brown, 32, hit with a misdemeanour charge. According to the report, this is the second time police have been called to Brown's house. The first was in May when the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a huge birthday bash and broke up the party in the early hours of the morning.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has fired back at South East Governors and other political leaders in the region for disavowing them and its security outfit, Eastern Security Network, ESN. Accusing the political leaders of being quick to disown and betray their own in their quest to appease their slave masters, the group also alleged that it was political leaders from the region that proscribed them before the federal government tagged them terrorists.   T-Pain has narrated how he fell into a four-year-long depression after Usher told him that his use of Auto-Tune wrecked the music industry.  In a clip from the upcoming Netflix series "This Is Pop", T-Pain recounted how he fell into depression after Usher criticized his use of Auto-Tune in music in 2013.  The singer said they were both flying in the same airplane and on their way to an award show, when he was called to Usher's seat. He disclosed that Usher laid it in after they exchanged pleasantries.  T-Pain said in the clip;    "Usher was my friend. I really respect Usher. And he was like, 'Man.   James Michael Tyler, the American actor best known for playing coffee shop worker Gunther on  Friends , has revealed that he has prostate cancer. Tyler was diagnosed back in 2018 but had kept his diagnosis private until a new interview with  Today . “I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, which had spread to my bones,” Tyler said. “I’ve been dealing with that diagnosis for almost the past three years. ... Ivory Coast’s former president Laurent Gbagbo has filed for divorce from his wife of three decades at the age of 76, his lawyer said. His lawyer, Claude Mentenon said in a statement on Monday that after years of “rejected requests for Simone Ehivet to consent to an amicable separation”, the ex-president had asked an Abidjan court for a divorce. The ex-president has been in a relationship for several years with 47-year-old former journalist Nady Bamba. A 41-year-old Nigerian man, Ejimadu Uchechukwu Benjamin and a local woman have been arrested in Thailand for allegedly possession of cocaine.    Wichai Chaimongkol, secretary-general of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, said on Tuesday, June 22, that officials raided a postal service company on Monday and seized 390 grammes of cocaine hidden in mascara tubes sent from Costa Rica to Pathum Thani province.     Chaimongkol said the seizure led to the arrest of Nuchanart Leela, 27, at a house in Khlong Luang district of Pathum Thani.   She was suspected of being hired by the Nigerian national to receive the narcotic on his behalf.  Ejimadu was later arrested at a department store in Bang Na district of Bangkok and 79 grammes of cocaine were found in his condominium in Srinagarind area.    

  Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte has threatened to jail people who refuse to be vaccinated against the coronavirus as his country battles the pandemic, with more than 1.3 million cases and 23,000 deaths. As of June 20, Philippine authorities had fully vaccinated 2.1 million people, but the government has target to immunize up to 70 million people in the country of 110 million this year. "You choose, vaccine or I will have you jailed," Duterte said in a televised address on Monday, June 21 following reports of low turnouts at several vaccination sites in the capital, Manila. Health officials in the country have said that while people are urged to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, it was voluntary. "Don't get me wrong, there is a crisis in this country," Duterte said.
